Copper Quarter Swansea, MPS

I too am now in this unfortunate disposition, having placed two permits in both cars of my friends coming round for to my apartment in the copper quarter, one ended up with a £100 ticket, with the ticket stating 'incorrect permit details'. Why must residents and their guests get penalised!.. unfortunately for us there was a match being played at the stadium as well that night.

Having read the previous posts, and having a look at the newbie threads, although they are quite confusing. I am now under the impression that i should inform my friend to wait for a NTK.

The tickets states however that:

1.Appeals/ challenges must be recieved by the company within 14 days of the notice issue date
2.Appeals/challenges recieved after 14 days will not be upheld or considered unless in extreme circumstances and at the companys discretion
3.If you wish to appeal this parking charge notice you should write to us in the first instance detailing the reasons why you believe that this has not been appropriately issued. We will consider this appeal and respond to you within 35 days. If we reject your appeal, we will give you the contact details for POPLA - the independant appeals service.

As I have done no wrong, although having read the threads that is now beside the point as this ticket has been issued, so excuses and explanations about permits etc are defunct, I should wait for my friend to recieve the notice to keeper (NTK) then send the template letter on these forums, wait for a reply and a POPLA REF before proceeding with a formal appeal.

Any advice would be welcome?

Who is MPS please and can you show us the 'ticket' and the sign? It's just that this isn't in accordance with what you would expect from an AOS member:

We know - change the http to hxxp.

    Here they are:

    http://mill-group.com/

Bunch of ex clamper 'door security' knuckle-dragger/bouncer types, it seems. They also have the ICO logo on their website which is not allowed AFAIK. I don't think the Exam Board 'Edexcel' (Pearson Group) would be too pleased about them using their logo either, just because they use them for their stupid NVQ 'qualifications'! Drop them in it with complaints about these logos, by emailing the link to the ICO and Edexcel 'contact us'.

Why must residents and their guests get penalised!

They must not, it is probably against the law so to do.

Your leasehold rights almost certainly negate any so called "contractual terms" by a PPC, PPCs know it, and, unless they are stupid, will not take it further than a few threatening letters. They have no case, they have suffered no losses, you hold all the aces.

You can appeal, as many here will advise, or you can ignore, with the proviso that if you do get court papers, (most unlikely), you can cane them in court.

Definitely wait for the first letter, if any arrives. DO NOT appeal now. File it away for now.

This is worrying me so much.

It doesnt matter now that the process is in motion whether there was a permit in the car does it? the car did have a permit but the ticket issued says incorrect permit details, we actually had two permits in the guests car as another guest got a ticket coming for a cup of tea but just paid. i dont think they saw the other permit in the car.

There is absolutely nothing to worry about, a disreputable company is trying to con you, we are aware of the con, and know how to turn the tables on the company and cost them money.

    Stiff upper lip.

Can we email the company and explain that they have ticketed our visitors car and chuck it out?

NO!!! Wait for the Notice to Keeper. They will not take any kind of mitigating circumstances like you are suggesting, so don't bother. Stick to the script, and DO NOT contact them before the NtK arrives.
