restaurant.com question please, as I have just found a pile of old bits of paper and it has jogged my memory that I opened an account.


I hope this make sense :
Years ago I got carried away and bought loads of vouchers and never used them.
Last year I received an email about a restaurant not being on the list, and to log in and following some instructions.
I did this, and then just forgot about it.
I now look in my account and in gift cards I have 2 x $50, 8 x $25 and 1 x $10 all listed as unused.
Therefore, can I use these in anyway or are they dead?

Got an offer from Wynn. $139 per night includes 2 free buffets on a 3 night stay or more. Dates into September. Tempted. Has anyone stayed there? I can't remember anyone mentioning. We'd need to do our 2 arrival nights, 28th 29th August somewhere else as they're Friday, Saturday. Thought mabye bargain at LVH (Westgate) as it's really cheap there those nights. Then 5 nights at Wynn, then we have another weekend, the weekdays plus Friday night left. We will probably have to stay at an MGM property to make good use of MyVegas rewards though.....

have a good last 24 hours or so... You had a good trip this time?? Held off the Lurgy and are the Platinum behaving themselves? Anything planned for your final night? And more importantly, did you manage to buy a full and proper pizza from Metro this time?

FWIW, we did encore a few years back but I think they might be both refurbished the same now (I could well be wrong)

Sometimes with the offers you can get encore for the same price / deal. I liked the encore pool to be honest, seemed quite quiet (as does the casino). Encore did seem a bit of a trek if you wanted to hit the strip tho

For that price a few years back, I would've jumped at it. Obviously you need to account for the resort fee too now ($25??)

I think as you like the buffet it probably is a good deal as you would've spent there anyways, right?

Edit: I suppose it may be wise to compare to Priceline

I think you can use them for their exact value- but you can't buy the ones on offer eg. $25 strip burger for $10

Yes, we're huge fans of the buffet so we would reserve that buffet pass for a dinner as it's most expensive (then we'd splash out on the drink bump )

Resort fee is $25, it shows the total including resort fee, think it's $950 for 5 nights. So around £120 per night. Pricey but I've always wanted to stay there. I have a £100 threshold for hotels (only exception usually being if there's an exec lounge!), but I really want to stay at Wynn so would make an exception.

I don't think Wynn is showing up on Priceline Express. It looks like Venetian that is coming up as 4* North. Problem with priceline is that you will only ever get the cheapest they have in the category, so Wynn doesn't come up as much as Venetian. We were quite lucky when we got Palazzo. I'd happily stay there, but I'm feeling the need to try Wynn.

I have heard that Encore has nightclub noise, so would want to avoid that. I think you can get Encore at the same price usually. I heard the sunloungers at Wynn are very close together, so perhaps the Encore pool is better. Can you use both pools? I kind of like the convenience of Wynn, however I can see in a few years time that the North Strip is going to be quite different. I was reading about the new place on the Echelon/old Stardust site. Bit Malaysian place and it will be Asian themed - sounds really good. It will take a few years to complete it though.

No signs of any illness this time. No time for Pizza, getting in far too late for that.
It's amazing how your spirits are lifted by good nights on the slots and you end up staying out far later than you should.
Will certainly be hitting up Plazzio again tonite, that is unless they refuse Tracy entry:D

Platinum have been ok, had a constant issue with our keys being deactivated, I assumed it was the lock so they moved us, only for the problem to persist. I now have about 6 keys so that if one deactivates I can use another without having to go down 17 floors for a replacement.
BTW Claudia left at Christmas
We fly to LAX at 7pm so will get late checkout and relax by the pool

You've sent Mrs.NVH into meltdown with that last bit of news! Where's she gone? Is Sarah still there? She seemed alright! Hopefully they've got someone decent working the bar!

I have just done a purchase ($50 credit for a $50 voucher for House Of Blues), so you are indeed correct.
Not looked at this in ages, and without a car, LV appears to be limited. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I will also have a look at SF, so hopefully I can make the most of them.
