Awww I have something in my eyes after reading your post OP. It is really heart warming to read of a little girl who is so loved and cherished.
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.

Thank you for all of the lovely posts - I'm close to tears again!

I was actually very nervous when I hit the button to submit my post as I was wary that I might get some very negative comments. I am so glad that you lovely strangers have been able to empathise with my story and your responses are truly heartwarming.

My Little girl is so desperate for Christmas to be here, is trying so hard to get "good" stickers on her reward chart so that Father Christmas will bring her an Elsa dress, an Anna dress (yes, Frozen mad!) and a scooter like her friend's. And we have had a lovely afternoon decorating the tree to surprise her Daddy when he came home from work. I want these moments to last forever!

I would like to send good wishes to all those who are struggling with infertility, to send them a hug - I read their thread on here often and silently support them on their journey.

    :)
  • Really Wonderful story.. It brings me tears in my eyes. Everyone should love their kids whether son or daughter. I would love to share this story with my sister who is now pregnant so that it could bring a beautiful smile and a great wish on her mind. I wish her all the very best for her pregnancy and the new one coming to this world.

That's wonderful, lil elvis. Have a beautiful Christmas with her ( and Anna and Elsa).

My grandson is frozen- mad, fan of Kristoff. He was an IVF baby too. Thanks to scientists!

It's quite a procedure, and not for the faint-hearted..

Nowhere near as easy as sperm donation, anyway!
Yes, the procedure wasn't pleasant or straightforward when my friends went through it about 25 years ago. I don't know what it is like now but presumably much the same.

However the physical side was nothing compared to the emotional side. My friends only succeeded on their third and final attempt for each child. On the very positive side it all ended up well for them and they now have two adult children who will probably go on to provide them with grandchildren one day.
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".
