Office sounds exciting. Right now my dream house is a 3 bed (with downstairs study nook/cosy room) and an external office in the garden somewhere. Would love for my "commute" to be a 5 minute walk outside!
  • I actually like going to the office but needs must and home office is the best plan :)

TCB and HSBC save together made a £30 dent in my mortgage today. Gotta love free money :)

  • Another £10 free money received into mortgage account today :)

Also £5 Halifax rewards sent to the tidy account this morning. I think this is my first tidy of the year. I haven't been spending any money though!
  • Happy new year OCC. I would love love love a library/study in our home. Your plans sounds great. Would the extension eat up any of your garden/land?

Can I ask which accounts you have to get all this free money?

First day back in the office for me... actually glad to be back

  • These ones just lately have been from

    top cash back payouts
    halifax rewards
    hsbc save together

Free money is so great hey!

We have about 1/4 acre of mature gardens (lots of weeds that means!) so with some nifty design and the removal of a couple of trees we can fit in a decent sized home office without compromising on our space :)
  • Thanks OCC. i'll check out halifax and hsbc. not sure i;ll spending much over the next 12months to get much Topcashback/quidc0 but i do go through them if i need to purchase.

Wow a 1/4 acre sounds so lovely. x

  • A little bit of spreadsheet fiddling done tonight. Worked out my daily interest last month was £8.43. Mini target therefore is to get under £8 which should be in June.

Still managed not to move any funds from the annual bills account yet as I've moved a few £££ around from my various bills current accounts leaving each with £10 or £20 in them. May have to move a few £££ fro the annual bills account but I think less than £50 initially.

Today was a NSD. My course starts tomorrow which is good. Have arranged first quotation for guttering thursday.

decluttered one toy to the CS.

On a NSD when the account doesn't need tidying, a reward myself with a whole £1 TT. makes a huge difference and stops the disappointment of logging on but not seeing an untidy account!

I think the HSBC save together is closed to new applicants but m and s have a similar option for new customers, unfortunately I already have an account with them so can't grab it :(
