  • On a NSD when the account doesn't need tidying, a reward myself with a whole £1 TT. makes a huge difference and stops the disappointment of logging on but not seeing an untidy account!

Oh that's good. Very good! How's Mrs SJ hanging in there?
  • started my course today. was an okay session and I have another on Saturday. Need to create a life time line by then :) Just started this tonight and will need to work on this again tomorrow.

Today was a nsd, took lunch and a drink with me.

Still account watching, chased VM again for payment they shouldn't have taken which I will have back by end of month although they have automatically invested it and I will only get back what its worth at the time which seems unfair. Hopefully it will be up, if not I will moan!

Sent documents to transfer 2 stakeholder pensions to new Best Invest SIPP. Hopefully VM wont muck this up too.

Still no money from shares, but expecting by end of the week.

13p received from TCB into mortgage. which has been rounded up to £1!

What is a life time line? I presume this is for the counselling(?) course.

    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500

Thats correct, Counselling skills. It is a timeline of significant events and people that shape you. From birth to today. This is part of the self awareness part of the course. I think its going to be a valid and interesting thing for me to do!

Finally got the funds from my shares sale. Half put straight in my S&S ISA and half kept on one side in my current account for now as I want to get all the accounts sorted, the annual bills paid and also the oil tank filled next week as the oil price is still low. Then I will see whats left, leave the money in the annual bills account for now and replenish the rest into the S&S ISA.

Had the first quote for the guttering in. £3500  To be honest that's about what I was expecting as everything needs doing. Will arrange a couple more quotes but I'm expecting this to be about right. Need to seriously save for a couple of months to get this together. This job has to be done this year, there are too many leaks now.

Preliminary investigations on the home office give unexpectedly good results with the initial figures coming in between £17k and £22k. I was expecting more like £30k so I'm well happy. This needs to be paid for next year so will start saving for this as soon as the guttering is sorted. Will hope to be able to take some extra drawings from the business to help with this later in the year.

Just went out with a groupon to the local pub. The groupon was for 2 so £20 extra spent on drinks and miniocc food.

Office quote sounds very good! :) Hope the guttering comes in cheaper, but that always seems to run expensive.

I'm very excited about getting these things done. We got a lot done on the house in 2015 so are looking to match this in 2016
  • busy busy busy weekend. Not bad on the spending front about £15 spent! On my course on saturday which was nice and went out out for works do sat night. Was so tired after draining day left early but got a Marie Kondo book for me and a Norwegian Wood book for BF which we both loved!

miniocc went to football training and dance on sat and then to gp's for a second watch of star wars and pizza lucky boy. Then his first proper Fusbal tournament today with his team of under 7's. They had a fab tournament won 3 lost 2 and drew 3. The 2 they lost were to the best team in the area who have been playing these type of tournaments for about a year. Was very proud of them. He asked if he could go to football again tomorrow!

No money news but have managed to declutter a few more things!

Back to work tomorrow. boo hoo!
