  • our DD1 did alright in the local RC senior school... alright but not great. She had a nice group of friends, so was kind and thoughtful but not academic.. she's been working as a hairdresser since we realised 6th form was not for her and I can count on one hand the times she's taken sick time off work.. fair enough a young mum, but with a good work ethic.

our DD2 was at the same school and we were advised to remove her from the bad influences around her due to dip in grades.. we tried discussions, but in the end moved to an academy school 6miles away.. it had only just gone non fee paying that year.. she started in the March.. Although it was chosen by her (a close friend was there) at first she resented me and sulked incessantly. But now she is fabulous and understands the huge benefit and what a gift a wonderful school is.. hopefully uni in September. But if she chooses differently we have done our best for her.

That's so fantastic you seem to have pitched it right both times, I hope that I can manage half as well as you have :)

    Oh it's a race...

    It is looking like it!

In other money news £755 to the short term savings this month and £1501 long term increase. Total savings increase £2256. The LT savings increase was mainly due to s and s isa recovering!

Am very pleased with savings increases.

    :rotfl:It's a race now :D

My end date /get repossessed date is April 2022, but I should warn you that I won the 200m during sports day in 1985, so you know, I am clearly good at races :rotfl:
    MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁
  • We'll be somewhere between June 2023 and March 2024 a I hope!

  • We're shooting for December 2020, but may slip into 2021. We'll see!
  • Oh no im going to come last! boo hoo!
  • Let's compare balances end of every month :)

I'm going to have to try harder to keep up with you all. I need to build up my savings too and there are a couple of essential renovations that need to be completed so will slow down the op's. It's good to strive though as I really secretly want it done and dusted before I'm 50 in March 2024.

In other news I booked a viewing at a commercial property for next week!!! Whoops. Was considering all options on the office front. Will get an idea of what we can get.
  • A nifty little OP of £73.75 making the OP total for the month of £610.39

That'll be it for this month but I made my target just about. Am going for over £600 again this month :)

Really good savings too this month so all in all its fantastic :)

S&S isa is finally in positive growth again.

    A good month :)

This prompted me to check mine - up £3 from the start of the month. Glad I didn't look earlier! :rotfl:

Well done on the savings, good news all around. :T
