If it is temperamental it could be your internet connection cutting in and out, I am in a very rural area it this happens to me very often.
Or/also are they very large pages you are going to and it could be explorer crashing. Have you tired using a different browser and if you get the same message, say chrome or firefox?"talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish" - Euripides0 -
or can we see an example of the pages not being loaded (to check syntax etc)0

think explorer has been involved in a major crash then, also the spinning arrow goes round very very slowly at times, in North Norfolk so fairly rural.
Ran CC and just wondering if there was anything else I might do but sounds like it is more of an internet problem than one on my computerTypically confused and asking for advice0 -
Vixen I had this off and on all last evening. I'm in M4 corridor with fast broadband, use Firefox and haven't experienced anything like it before. I hazard a guess that it was a partial failure in the internet somewhere, maybe a DNS problem. The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0

I did some research on this a few months ago, the general consensus is that it's because all internet traffic is being sent through your ISPs content filtering proxy, which is basically flat out trying to stop people accessing content deemed "illegal"..........
Basically every webpage request your browser makes, has to go through a filter and if that filter responds a bit too slowly, then the browser will say "Page cannot be displayed".
The list of "bad" websites is still quite small, so this will only get worse as time goes on, because the bigger the list, the longer it takes to check a website URL and IP address against it. Easy to check a list that's 10 lines long, not so easy to check one that's 5 million lines long.
It may help to use a different browser as well, I think Firefox (for example) waits longer for a response.
The people voted for it by not standing up and saying "no" and coming out with nonsense like "it'll only affect the people who are doing it". Well now ya'll made the beds, we all have to lay in them.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I use an ISP that blocks nothing and has no filtering proxy, it also has no "adult content filtering" to opt out of (if you select filtering when you order broadband from them you are told to use a different supplier).
I stood up and said no to censorship and I stand by my convictions by using a relatively expensive ISP that operates its business in a way that I agree with.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230
