Mains water pressure

I didn't do so well with my Googling. The general guidance seems to be that water supply companies quote a 1 bar standard.
I bought a meter via Amazon that measures mine at 2.2 bars, but it doesn't feel so strong.
What would be considered to be the ideal mains water pressure?

I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".

There is no 'ideal' mains pressure.
There is a minimum pressure requirement in the OFWAT guaranteed standards scheme of 0.7 bar (http://www.ofwat.gov.uk/consumerissues/rightsresponsibilities/standards/gud_pro_gss08.pdf).
Maximum pressure is normally 10 bar, as pressure above this is likely to damage water fittings. Some water companies such as UU specify maximum network pressure of 6 bar.
2.2 bar would seem to be quite normal.0 -
I bought a mains pressure meter a couple of years back as I had a shower head which required a minimum pressure of 2.5 bar.
My pressure was coming in at around 2.0-2.2, at the time but it seems to have worked fine ever since.• The rich buy assets.
• The poor only have expenses.
• The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.
