PCN Recieved from TNC parking services

Greetings,
Recently we have received a PCN for the sum of £100 from TNC Parking Services acting on behalf of UK Parking Soloutions.
Firstly i'll give you the back story but i'll leave out some information because im not sure if the scammers and fraudsters peruse these boards:
Towards the end of September a car park was used in Liverpool
over the period of a day and a night due to a festival.A parking ticket was purchased but subsequently only lasted 12 hours or so,thus had to be renewed so a second ticket was brought and placed on the cars front passenger window around 10:00pm.
The next morning we return to the car to find a ticket on the wipers stating to pay in the region of £60.Unhappy with this we then proceeded to ring a number but ended up being spoken to rudely by some sort of parking attendant who told us he cant see any ticket on his pictures. We then found a number for UKPS.We rang constantly but had no luck and left two messages with details to try and resolve this.
Anyway last month we receive a letter telling us we have 28 days to pay or appeal but have to name the driver etc etc (surely we are under no legal obligation to do so?)
The letter also gives an incorrect date about how long the PCN has been outstanding.
Also that they obtained details from the DVLA???Surely theres got to be a data protection issue here?
We still have both the parking tickets and also surely the CCTV will see us returning to the carpark and using the ticket machine before placing a ticket on the vehicle.
This whole debacle seem wholly unfair seeing as we payed(i mean honestly what revenue have they lost?)Therefore we would appreciate
immensely if any kind hearted member of these forums could impart some advice and guidance.
Many thanks,
C

Please just read the Newbies thread, that's why it's at the top of the forum!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

Sorry, dont really use Forums all to much.
I imagine you're a informed and respected member of these boards.
Would you happen to have any information about TNC & UKPS?
And does my case tally with any that you may have seen before in reagards to these to companys trying to rip people off?0 -
Have you read the NEWBIES thread now?
There is also a search function which may help you.0 -
In answer to one of your questions NO you do not need to inform UKPC who the driver was. This will be a good point if it goes to POPLA.
What you need to do is prepare your appeal by reading the Newbie Sticky's. Read and digest them and you will have the knowledge to beat these parasites and hold on to your hard earned money.
Also you presume correctly, the PPC's do peruse these boards, so never post any personal details.
Just have a good read of the Sticky's and also some posts about your specific PPC. Use the forum jump to do this. Type in UKPS and use the search all posts option. There will be plenty for you to use/read.
While doing this, remember if you use the advice given in the Sticky's you wont pay a penny, even if it goes to POPLA (they have to pay)0 -

But all cases are (pretty much) the same and can be appealed as per the NEWBIES thread! So use the Forum Jump, do the search if you want, read some TNC threads - but then Forum Jump back 'home' to page one again and read the Newbies thread. It is all you need.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Search the forum, there's thousands of similar cases like yours. Its what PPC's do. THEY RIP PEOPLE OFF unless you use the advice given here0 -
Appeal to parking company with picture of ticket and state it was displayed correctly.
If they reject, do the same with POPLA, but come back here to add more technical points.
Also, if they reject, complain to the bpa at aos@britishparking.co.uk that you have been issued a charge even though a valid ticket was displayed.Dedicated to driving up standards in parking0 -
Also can anybody inform us with any idea as to why the date of the out standing PCN is wrong by a couple of days and if it could help my case?0

Do you mean the NTK gives the wrong date of PCN?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
