Basicly, was driving alone in a very over crouded, small car park, with cars just parked all over, not all in the bays,

As i was there driving and turning around i did notice a car close behined that was just parked, not in bays, it was close to the back end of mine,

Anyway when i got home it was then when i noticed a mark on my car, like a smudge of paint, will rub off with t cut.

Main point i must have touched the parked car, i dont have the reg number for it or anything. There where people in and around the car park, i.e , work men and just people, i dont know if anyone saw what happened, i dont even know who the people are are to ask them or contact them ether.

I dont really want to go around asking everyone if anyone saw anything, i could be there all day.

On the other hand i dont want to be in bother for leaving the scene of an accident and have to be arrested or cautioned by police. I dont know if there is cctv, and i dont know what damage is done, might be something a damp cloth can sort out. I dont know what damage is there.

Maybe someone did see and has taken my reg or something and pass it on to the car owner later.

Maybe i should pop in the police station and mention it with in 24 hours ???

  • Just inform the police as you were unable to exchange details with the other vehicle driver/owner. They'll probably not be interested but thats another matter

Anyone run or monitor the car park?
Pop back with contact details and explain what happened.

Dont see point in giving my details to the car park owner, if someone has seen what happened and passed my reg on to the car owner then there probably going to go to the police to report me with out going to the car park owner. Then again i am still in troubble for not leaving my details with the car owner or the police.

If my car was bumped in a car park I'd go back and enquire, and see if there was cctv or anyone had noted number plate of offending vehicle.

This. If someone does find damage to their car and reports the incident to the police, or finds a witness/CCTV then your backside will be covered. If they don't, you'll never hear of it again.

Ah ok, go to police then.
By the time you've finished explaining you may have hit a car, may not, maybe in car park, maybe not, you'll either be sectioned or done for driving without due care and attention.....

Unless you had music blaring out you would in all likelihood have felt/heard any sort of contact with another vehicle. If you didn't then either it didn't happen or again in all likelihood nobody else will have heard or seen it either. How did you know the other party didn't hit you? Is there more to this than you're letting on?

All cars where parked up, only me driving in there at the time, cars where just parked all over, crammed in, it was tight to move around. And work men near by, and one or two people walking through car park.

I had radio on, so heard nothing.

Maybe some else hit mine someware else. I just dont know, i dont like been unsure, and i dont want to be in bother
