No response from Monarch re: flight delay....next step

Hi
I suffered an 8hr plus delay with Monarch in the summer. Flight MOn1829 - Corfu to Manchester on 29th September.
I have wrote to Monarch requesting compensation, though they have received my letter (recorded delivery)they have yet responded.
The letter was delivered on 20/10/14, please can anyone advise of what I should do next.
Should I write to them again, or go to the next stage of the compensation process?
