Argos returns

wasn't too sure where to put this, so I thought i'd have a go in here. I bought something from argos about 6 or 7 days ago, but have stupidly lost the receipt. However, the item is still sealed, does anyone know what their returns policy is? Am I likely to be allowed a refund? or at least some argos vouchers so I can buy something else?
Thanks!
Thanks!

You need proof of purchase, which could be a credit card statement. Failing that if you can tell the store the date and time of purchase then they can track the sale for you and refund.Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards. Soreen Kierkegaard 1854.0

It might help to ring there head office first and explian the date and time thing to them and they can get the store to check for you,
Also in my opinion the store is more helpfull wen head office is involved.
Well thats the case where i live anyway,:j WILL GET THERE SOON :j

Does it have the label on the outside with the catalog number on?0

it has to have the label on with the catalogue number and if you paid by card you are asked to bring in a proof like a statement.... BUT 90% of stores will refund you the current price without proof of purchase onto a gift card as long as it does have the argos sticker with catalogue number on... be nice and not demanding and im sure you will be fine

I bought a fan last year and it has just died on me... now I'm assuming it isn't an Argos exclusive but my partner took it back today and got a replacement with no quibble at all. No original packaging and no proof of purchase. Reminds me of why I continue to buy from them quite frankly.0

If you can say what date and time it was purchased then they can trace the sale. If not then they may refund you to the LOWEST selling price of the item not the current one and this will be onto a gift card.
Hope that you get sorted either way0 -

Without the receipt I am not sure... maybe try another branch?
Going by their website http://www.argos.co.uk/static/StaticDisplay/includeName/ReturnsAndRefunds.htm
If you bring it back to us within 30 days with your proof of purchase*, we'll give you a replacement or a refund.
If you've had the product for up to 1 year, we'll repair the product or, if that's not possible, give you a replacement or, if that's not possible, a refund.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
Do you still have the original box in the loft or something? That may have the cat number on to prove you bought from Argos?TB0 -
i took it back to the shop in original box with all paperwork and the cat number still on the side, they where still not interested0
