Quote for Replacing a Wing Mirror on a Volkswagen Polo

Hi, I've been quoted nearly £70 labour (incl. VAT) to replace a wing mirror on a Polo (2008 model) 1.4 litre.

It's a straightforward job - just a simple replacement.

This seems excessive to me.

What are your thoughts? Thx.

whats the breakdown labour & parts

remember its only £58.33 before the vat for fitting & part seems reasonable to me

It is a pain replacing wing mirrors as the interior door panel and furniture has to be removed. I guess this is one hour, which may not be unreasonable.

Like I said, the quote was nearly £70 just for the labour.

Seems a simple enough solution to me!

It probably needs coding onto the car though as most modern cars need a laptop plugging into them to tell them they have a mirror fitted etc.

Pretty sure on a Polo of that age it's just a case of lever off internal cap, no door card removal necessary. Takes about 10 minutes to change.
