Hi, hope this is the right place to ask
Upgrading sons tv for his bedroom this Xmas, from a 22" to a 32".Price has to be a serious factor, but I'm not sure about the nd ready or full hd? And the 50 or 100 MHz ? If I've got it right lol.
He uses it for Xbox 360, Netflix and DVDs both played through xbox. With the odd bit of tv
Any help please,thanks

If its only HD ready (compared to Full HD) the TV will not receive HD progs over the air
but will play a HD DVD0 -
I don't think he'd be bothered about that, but would having only had ready be rubbish for xbox games?0

Most modern good brand 32" LED/LCD tv's these days come with Freeview HD as standard and it's rapidly becoming the norm, it's increasingly becoming harder and harder to find screen sizes of this ilk without Freeview HD as it's what more and more customers and the ever increasing market are demanding. A 32" smart Freeview HD tv would be ideal for this purpose if you can get hold of one, Full HD1080p sets are the real McCoy and give a detailed crisp picture with HD sources set at 1080p. The cheaper ones at 720p aren't as good picturewise.0

This is incorrect. A full HD TV does not always have an HD freeview tuner.
Always check the specs carefully. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
The difference between HD ready and full HD is very noticeable when playing XboxI don't think he'd be bothered about that, but would having only had ready be rubbish for xbox games?Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it0 -
Thankyou so I need to dig deep and buy full hd 0

Here's a suggestion for £209. It's a full 1080p screen and has Freeview HD built-in.

Alternatively, dig a little deeper to buy the newer 'Smart' version for £269.
Spec wise it has WiFi built-in, a 3rd HDMI input and some other bits and bobs. It also has catch-up programs built-in i.e. BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4OD, etc. It also comes with apps for the internet, Facebook, etc.

That Samsung Freeview HD telly looks great-with colour enhancement technology to boost and enhance the colours X-Box games will look great and 100Hz will give smoother flicker free motion on graphics and movies.
