Congratulations to everyone who's sold anything lately and commiserations for anyone who's not had much time or luck. Thanks to the help and encouragement on this thread we will get there in the end:beer:

Did a car boot sale on Sunday morning and didn't do as well as the previous ones I did but managed to clear £51 so shouldn't grumble. A bit worried that I'm down to the dregs of anything reasonably appealing that I have left to sell now. The space and relative clutter free-ness is nice (I suspect I'll never be minimalist:o) but I really need to make some money:o.

Sold a book on Amazon for a profit of £1.92. Sold another couple of cheapies fairly recently and not sure if I've mentioned them/added them to total or not so will have a read of my past posts before/if I add them.

For now it's £52.92 to add for the car boot and one book.

Total for year now stands at £1215.31 out of the £1500 I've challenged myself to make but I suspect it will slow down to a trickle from now on.

Took the notion for a new dining table and chairs so decided to sell the old one first as a downpayment on a new one - £60 to add to my total hooray!

Finally got motivated to list some things and made a nice £60 so far this month! Taking me up to £110 feeling motivated to sell more.

Although I will be avoiding Facebook selling - I had lots of replies and messages... I then waited on first person interested as stated in the rules who then didn't have the item then nobody replied after I said it was still for sale dispite LOTS of interest. It got to hectic so I deleted the item for sale! Gumtree has been my friend!

I'm with you on Facebook disappointment, Short-n-Sweet. So many people have great success with it but not me, sadly:(.Been a total hassle every time I tried it (and I'm not one to give up easily;)) so, like you, I'm looking elsewhere for my sales. Good luck with Gumtree:beer:. Never tried it myself but will look into it now you've reminded me of it:T. Prefer selling at car boot sales myself. Might not get as much for stuff but at least it goes as soon as someone says they want it:T. More expensive stuff I put on Amazon or an auction site.

I love car boot sales. Never get much time to do them and you can guarentee it rains or gets cancelled when free to do it. :rotfl:

I try to do at least one though I find them great for getting rid of the random little bits aswell and love the clearing out feeling! :j

We moved in March.. I still have boxes to sort :o:o

I've sold a couple of things on Gumtree but I actually prefer eBay, much more commitment centric :)
