No 44 here. My total to date is £446.81, with a further £161 of items sold where the money has gone to the children. Definitely slowing down now - running out of things to ebay - and motivation to list them! :D Have donated lots to charity recently instead (mainly not worth listing)

Nothing further to report as far as selling anything towards the challenge goes. Must do better:o

When we cleared my late parents home there were all sorts of things left over after family and friends had chosen what they wanted to keep for themselves. We sold the more valuable items at auction, took loads to charity shops and what was left (mainly bigger stuff that charity shops didn't want) we were going to sell to a house-clearance man. There was a lot that he didn't want though and even wanted us to pay him to take it off our hands. Rather than that I brought it home and it's been stuck in our garage for years:o I thought I could maybe car boot it.

Long story short:rotfl:, I volunteer at a small local animal sanctuary. They have a small shop at the centre where they sell donated bric a brac etc and I gave them lots of Mum's left-over stuff to sell but they hadn't space for the furniture and other big stuff that was surplus to anyone's requirements and still stuck in our garage. So I sent it to a local household general auction at the end of March, not my local 'posh' one but one that sells lower-price/low quality stuff mainly to car booters. I wasn't expecting much for it but everything sold and I was able to pass on the proceeds to the charity. Now I have so much debt my help for them is practical more than financial so it was lovely for a change to be able to give them some money:j. £63 after fees to their coffers not mine so not including it in my totals.

Morning all, at home today as my DD is poorly. She had an accident and needed six stitches in her mouth! :( Hoping that the swelling will start going down today so that she can eat and drink more easily.

Anyway, managed to sell a few things of fb earlier this week, so another £9 to add to my total. I'm now just over half way to my target. I have a few boxes for car booting, but I haven't sorted out actually doing a car boot yet...must get motivated to get that done!

    New total: #45 £105.76 52.88%

    Hello all!

Well I can see that everyone seems to be keeping a note of their own totals, so not much point in me writing them all out. Let me know if you don't have your total and would like me to tell you.

However, overall (to date) we have sold a whopping...

    £11,624.62

    How amazing is that?! :T

  • Samiszel that is just brilliant! And like mossy said, just stuff that's cluttering up our homes. I bet a lot of us didn't even realise we had all this stuff until we started the challenge and made a real effort to unearth and sell it.

Massive congratulations to everyone who has contributed towards that amazing total:T. And a huge 'thank you' to Samiszel for working it all out for us:T.

Well done everyone for all you've sold recently. An inspiration as ever:beer:

Had planned a car boot sale for Sunday morning but car has been playing up and finally refused to co-operate. Something major wrong with gearbox so I suspect most of my selling profits will be wiped out by it:mad:

A friend who was going to sell at the same sale took as much of my stuff as she could cram in her car with their stuff but I couldn't go too as she was taking her daughter and her friend who were selling loads of their own stuff. They sold some of my bits and I was chuffed to get £44 after giving the girls something towards their kitty. Have added it to total which is now £584.27
