Hi all
Apologies for this as i think its a stoopid question but I want to make sure that I send my defence statement to the right address.
From the paperwork I have received I understand that i should send all corrospondence (including my defence statement) to:
County Court Money Claims Centre
PO BOX 527
Salford
M5 0BY
I'd be grateful if someone could confirm my understanding of this is correct.
Thanks

HI all
Thanks for the continued help folks - much appreciated.
Stoopid question time again - I'm completing the N180 form.
Where it says 'serve copies on other parties' does this mean that I need to serve a copy to CEL/DEAL? And if it does - do I simply have to post it to them and obtain proof of posting to do so?
Also - with regard to D1 hearing venue - I've asked that it be transferred to my local county court. Do I need to expand on this with an explanation as to why and what should i include if so?
Thanks folks

Hi all
Anyone able to clarify this for me please? I've found this snippet elsewhere on the internet which seems to suggest I have to serve the N180 on the claimant. Does this sound correct (and do I simply have to send it recorded delivery to do so?)

Yes, send a copy of the DQ to the claimant. Free proof of posting is all you need.
The reason for transferring to your local court is because its your local court.
You will then receive a letter "notice of transfer of proceedings" informing you it has been transferred to wherever you are in the country.
When you get this and you have not received a copy of CEL/DEALs DQ complain to the court (your local one)
There's a good letter here:

Hello all
I haven't had anything back from the County Court to advise that the case has been dropped so I'm gearing up to attend the Court on the hearing date.
I've pulled together copies of everything that I think is relevant so far and with the help of various posters here have submitted my statements.
I have some documents which will help to prove that some of the CEL case is fabricated. My question is - do i simply take these with me to the court on the day or does the complainant have to have sight of them as part of my defence statement pack (in a nutshell - do I have to post anything else off to CEL or do I just gather it all together to take on the day?)
Cheers all

I think that anything you rely on in court has to be provided to the other party in advance of the hearing.
Have CEL provided you with their evidence?
Have your evidence pack with you at court, wrapped up with string or ribbon. Only open it in front of the judge - do not accept anything from CEL/their lawyer (IF they appear) outside the court room.
Be aware that CEL may withdraw from the claim at the very last minute. Their other half (DEAL) recently withdrew 10 minutes before the hearing was due to start.0
