Spreadsheet on it's way to Hypno - Lunar, I don't think I've got your email address? If you PM it to me I'll send the SS as an attachment. Like I say, it isn't great but it'll do the job for me and should be fairly easy to update.
We went to see that house last night - I LOVE IT AND NEED TO BUY IT!!! It is a bit of a tip - very much in need of a lot of TLC, but very little that we can't do ourselves. No word from the poorly lady that couldn't view but still feeling hopeful about the other 2 possibilities.
And the house is a tip again!0 -
It's fairly complicated to be honest! I'm just a sole trader, and had an employee. We rented an office and bought shed-loads of stock...and then didn't really bother listing much of it!!! So we're still selling some stuff, but the stock purchases have already been bought and paid for (on credit cards, obviously!) so all that's coming in now is profit apart from the Ebay fees, postage etc.
I don't include any of those in my personal SOA as they all go in and out of my business bank account, and anything that is left over each month comes to me ...
As I say, accountant is hopefully going to sort it all out for me anyway ...
Hope that makes more sense!
Thanks - it all makes a bit more sense, and I agree that it makes more sense to treat the business money completely separately from your personal money. One thing that occurred to me - did you buy your stock on a credit card for your business, or have you treated it as personal debt? Because I would have thought that if you can show that the card was used to buy stock, you should be able to include the interest as an expense for your business? But I guess that is something your accountant is dealing with. Have you cleared all the credit card debt from buying your original stock?0 -

Wow! Good luck!!! Wear the lightest things you can find for the appointment! I did the Atkins diet a few years ago before my wedding, and lost 2 stone in 3 weeks. I was really ill after it, but it served the purpose! No chocolate for you until Friday night madam!!!
I didn't get your email in my PMs - guessing you got so excited by that letter that you forgot!
Still nothing on the house. We REALLY want the other one we've seen, so getting frustrated! Going to call the agents on Monday and see if they can get any update.0 -

No, unfortunately it's all personal debt as it's me that has to pay it! All bought on personal credit as I didn't want to get involved in business loans etc. Because I'm not actually paying any significant interest on any of my cards, I haven't bothered adding that as an expense. It would probably be far more bother than its worth to try and seperate business from personal expenditure, and I'd end up in a right muddle! And no, I've barely started clearing the debt, but hoping to be there by 2012 or before!0 -
Just having a quick check-in while at work - seem to have missed loads over the weekend!
Did a little sneaky thing yesterday that I'm not 100% sure about and it's been niggling me, so thought I'd see if anyone here had an opinion: We had the 2 new HSBC cards (one with 10k, other 9k limit - they added an extra grand on since we applied!). First one took the near-complete balance transfer from my Virgin card of 10k, so that's now 4.9% till 2012 and I'll pay the remainng £200ish off next month - perfect.
The problem: we wanted to transfer our Northern Rock loan (10ish%) to the other card, but they only do card transfers, not loans or cash advances. Would have had to pay the transfer fee of 2.5 or 3% twice to transfer it onto an empty card, then onto the new one, so were a bit stumped. So I came up with a sneaky idea:
DH 'bought' one of our cars from me, and paid by Paypal with his new credit card. The money therefore went into my Paypal account, and I've withdrawn it to my bank. I checked first that I won't be charged cash advance fees or anything, so that should be fine. That means that the 5,000 he 'paid' me, will be at the new card's purchase rate of 0% for 12 months. Only slight problem I noticed afterwards was that both the Paypal accounts that I have are actually in his name for some reason. Dodgy or perfectly acceptable? Will anyone notice? Have we technically done anything wrong? Nobody loses after all! Soon find out I suppose!0 -
ive also got the hang of not drinking the night before, removing jewelry and wearing light shoes! not sure how healthy the dehydration thing is though!
not really sure about the paypal thing. they prob have to many customers now to notice details like that anyway.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -

Not healthy at all, I'm sure!
But if it's only for a very short time, and it gets you what you want...!
Nothing heard anything bank/Paypal connected, so hoping we've got away with it (but since I've not technically doing anything wrong, surely there's nothing to have to get away with? So why do I feel as though I'm going to get caught out???!):o0 -
I am sure it will all be fine! Don't panic Mr Mannering

I sent them an email this morning as I noticed on Rightmove that they were still advertising our open weekend on 20th Oct! Very professional! Asked if there was any update, but no response yet.
Just had a very dodgy email from Paypal asking for further verification of my account (the one I almost never use, but paid £5k into the other day!). Think it's fairly standard stuff when you have payments over £4500. Hmmmm...0
