Ricarda - tortillas freeze really well. Separate with greaseproof or clingfilm and then take out as needed.

Hi everyone,
Today's spend totalled £3.23 for some milk, bread and a frozen pizza for tonight's dinner as I was pushed for time and had forgotten to defrost anything else. That is something that I will need to start planning ahead for, making sure i have the next day's dinner in the fridge each day. To help avoid any unnecessary spending. I did a fairly big food shop last weekend so really didn't need much. I have been drinking loads of milk since becoming pregnant, I used to drink a 2 litre carton each week, and now I'm going through double that!
I did take some stuff to the local cash for clothes place and got £3.70 for it. I also have 2 bags full for the charity shop of clothes, books and picture frames. The baby's room is nearly empty now, only one box of mine left in there, and only because I'm not sure where to store it! OH has a couple of boxes to sort through and then we can start decorating

Hi Weesmiler
I was told years ago that putting frozen food in the fridge to defrost overnight saves a little electric, albeit only a very small amount, but the frozen food helps keep the fridge temperature down which in turn stops the motor running which obviously uses electric. If you did this nearly every day for example the little electric saving would soon mount up.
As we are all learning, especially through this thread. every little bit certainly does help.

Morning everyone
I`m very organized this morning, beef cass in sc, vat of soup made and washing onWill go for long walk later with Ds and his dog.
Been waiting for Norton security to go on offer somewhere and just reserved it at PC world. 3 user for £22 which is great DS will go half and its a necessary spend.
Only milk and bread needed so quite happy with that, thanks to the support of this thread February should be a low spend month.
Bright and sunny here today and not that cold, roll on spring.Make £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.0 -
Afternoon all Much better day today. It is warmer here so I have got out into garden. Sorted through seeds , tidied and am now preparing a mental list of jobs to do. I have a week off coming up so hoping that this will stop me spending. I am planning to do much more decluttering this week -got rid of loads last week and realised I have loads of stuff sitting around not used so probably don't need it. I did watch the eat well for less program and I was also shocked at the portion the children were given. I hope that she learns to cook as she has such a gorgeous kitchen, I would
love one like that- no space. An NSD here today0 -
Morning all,
Slightly achy here today, played racket ball a few days ago and am certainly feeling it now. We usually play squash but decided on racketball for a change, so three of us played for 1.5 hours after not really playing since before Christmas. Needless to say my right bicep is aching so much I can barely lift a cuppa and I think I've fractured my left bum cheek
Just a comment or two...
I regularly freeze tortilla's without issue, either the whole packet or singularly.
All my washing goes in on a quick wash which is something like 30 degrees for 30/40 minutes. None of the clothes are dirty per se just a little sweaty.
On the whole the month is ticking along nicely but we've got our niece and nephew up for a few days at half term which is always a little expensive, lots of fun though
We had a trawl through the local CS last week but couldn't find anything suitable for this new job. Have had my eye on a few things on the bay of E but have been outbidLooks like I'm going to turning up in jeans at this rate!!
Well, we're planning a lovely lazy day here today so it's time to put my feet up and get on with it

Busy day here cleaning & reorganising conservatory/extension after DH has decorated. DeCluttering as I go along.
Night out yesterday was cancelled so just had a quiet night in with a few friends. About £30 saved from entertainment budget, and just as much fun.
Lunch was pasta & sauce made from stores (topped up 1/2 jar pesto with a little olive oil to keep it fresh. Top tip from cousin who's married to an Italian )
Roast chicken dinner tonight. Usually buy a small chicken, but this time I bought medium and hope to make 3 meals from it.
Learning slowly. :-)We WILL stick to a budget for all of 2015 without loosing momentum. :j0 -
Hi all, good to see spending is still being kept fairly frivolous free! (try saying that five times fast)
I've not been spending either. Plan on keeping my bank account pretty much untouched till next payday, although not completely. Mum gave me back the £12.50 for the alphabet stamps so that's in my purse for when I do need anything. I'm also now over a quarter of the way through my 100 books, a third of the way through making birthday presents, and have started coming up with ideas for the christmas presents too (everyone is getting the same things just designed differently) Currently I'm covered in alcohol ink, glue and glitter but I have to wait for the thing I'm making to dry (overnight) and I don't want to ruin my cross stitch so it's back to reading for me.0 -

I use AVG, its free and Ive never had a single problem with it.
I didnt like norton for a few reasons. I think avast is also free.
I really would recommend AVG anti virus to anyone who is looking to protect their PC without having to spend anything.0
