    as who has said what?
  • Ok. 15k a month is 180k PA

    +2k a month takes that to 204k

Now you say '15k on average' - for arguments sake lets say its a min of 10k thats still 120k PA + Salary = 144k

Now. Surely that's enough to help your internal score.

    So.

Log into your online banking and check the offers section for pre approved offers on credit cards. (if you have a current account and NOT a cash account)

Also try for an overdraft, and you could also upgrade to premier banking(£10 pm).

(This is because internal scoring is hackin' awesome)

If you have a cash account then upgrade it. wait 6 months and then apply for a Barclaycard.

Also. Try a Creation credit card (Marriott one or Asda Money)

    Other suggestions.

Dispute CCJ, Ask Crap1 for increase, AND also look at separating personal and business expenses to two accounts.

(Halifax for personal, Barclays for Business)

Why. Halifax do mortgages, and will give you with CCJ
Why. Barclays allow business expenses to go through a personal account

Why not halifax for business expenses? Because under the ownership of Lloyds banking group it's one of their strict policies.

Also. On the off chance that the company you work for or you come under review keep copies of ALL financial documents (I take photos of all documents)

    Hope this makes sense.
  • Also. You CAN have credit cards, AND mortgages with CCJ's.

    Examples of lenders.

    Creation
    Amex
    Barclays
    Barclaycard
    Capital One
    New Day
    Coutts
    Cater Allen
    Duncan Lawrie
    Handlesbanken
    HSBC Premier
    Natwest, RBS and private sectors.

    i like this advice:T
...On the off chance that the company you work for or you come under review keep copies of ALL financial documents (I take photos of all documents)

i would ensure you receive paper copies of current accounts and credit card statements and file the originals forever.
  • I don't know how to quote but.

Yes always keep paper copies, however you could live next door to andrew the arsonist. P*ss him off one day and your house is gone.

Then you make an insurance claim, the insurance company background check YOU because they're C***S and will do ANYTHING to stop you making a claim, they then call up 'Her Maj' and hint at something sinister.

Next thing you're in Primark buying underwear after all yours is now dust and your card declines. Liz has frozen your accounts and the only way she's going to let you buy those fancy pants for £3 is show her the proof.

And that's why it's a great idea to keep digital copies. clouded or in a safety deposit box :)
  • And depending on your circumstances an account in south america *cough*

So true! Though most people on MSE (regularly anyway!) don't as much as the rest.

InsideInsurance - I would be amazed if any bank investigating considered it to be 'in order' - it's conceivably somewhere on the spectrum between money laudering, tax evasion and fraud.

Money laundering can take many shapes and sizes - it doesn’t have to be one big transaction.

Employing accountants does not provide a hospital pass for senior executives (see the current Tesco case, Enron etc.)

Planteria - direct debits can be one-off or weekly or any period. They don’t need to be monthly - that is just the most common convention (and may be the only one offered by a collecting company)
