Barclays have done away with these in branches many months ago. You do still get 3 personalised ones in the back of the cheque book.
Well I didn't agree with you at the time, but couldn't find anything online (other than the barclays leaflet that someone pointed out was 18 months old, and the process has changed since)
So today as I was walking past Barclays, I popped inside... and what did I find???
Wait for it...
I'm sure you know what's coming ....

in your branch yes, in my branch no.
Maybe my branch is a trial, or they are removing them progressively, or have removed them from customer-side but have them if you ask the counter staff, I don't know and it does not affect me one way or another. The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
Well they've certainly removed them my local Barclays branch!
In fact they removed everything my local Barclays branch and closed it.0 -

Rather than just popping in you should have tired to actually transact without the paying in slip. They may still have them in branches however you do not have to use them. I will pay some money into my Barclays account later and show you the reciept im given. Actaully its the same with Lloyds they have paying in slips in branches however its not a requirement to fill them in to make a deposit.
Update:
This was the results of my experience:- Barclays their was a massive queue so did not bother waiting
- LLoyds Banks however on the other hand would not accept payments over the counter. However they recommended I used a deposit envelope. I asked if I needed a paying in slip and she said no, just write the account name and bank details and the amount deposited and posted it via the letter box facility along with my name and telephone which I made up.
