iPad lost/stolen at hotel in Bulgaria

I left a favourite cardigan in a Travelodge wardrobe at 8.30 one day, I realised at 1pm and rang the hotel. Nothing in the left property book and so Someone checked the room, no cardigan in the wardrobe and the only person who had been in the room was the cleaner. Now its not rocket science where it had gone.
mmm... Do you think a good quality cardigan which was a favourite of mine would be a fair exchange for a pair of fluffy white bath towels........
I lost a diamond out of my engagement ring while checking out of a premierinn. I realised a few hours later, phoned them (although the cleaners had been waiting to get into the room and were armed with Henry hoovers.). They checked, they found it, they kept it safe and I picked it up the same day and had it reset into my ring that week.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
Valuables are left in your room at your own risk. (The same applies for left luggage etc. facilities so the fact the hotel had taken your property from your room won't matter)
If it was a chain you might get some compensation. But Best Western is just a francise used by independent hotels.
Leave a bad review on some travel websites if it makes you feel betterYou could also have a loud conversation at reception around check-in time... the events you have described makes me think the housekeeping staff may regularly acquire items from room/luggage left in the hotel.

Oh my bad, I didn't realise he meant Nationwide the bank, I thought he was saying it was available anywhere, i.e. 'nation wide'! Is that only with paid accounts, as other banks do, and therefore not strictly 'free'?
It depends on which account - the one I have is free, subject to paying in a minimum amount each month
They have another, paid account, with other benefits as well, and I think there are basic ones with none.
They keep refining their offerings - as do other banks0 -

That would have been a rather bizarre response!
Yes it's available on their free account (on the paid accounts it's worldwide, and I believe covers you for longer periods).0 -

Haha yes, that's exactly what I thought - a very strange response! Never clicked that you meant the bank, sorry!0
