You need to re-read your posts !!!

Not so. I wish all the pre-2012 comments on "Best to Ignore" could be removed from this forum as Newbies hit on these via Google and get it wrong. Removing something that is misleading does NOT automatically lead to the suggestion that there is a guilty conscience issue.

In any event, the explanation is now out there, so we can move on.

Removing "Best to Ignore" posts because the advice has changed is not the same as removing a comment partially grounded in fact because it went on to contain an opinion that was disagreed with (that the decision to remove the links had already been made).

Clearly those are the best for those with the inclination to make use of them ;)
  • I wish that I'd seen this post earlier
I paid my £16 to Ricky? on 26/11/14
He sent (royal mail) my appeal 27/11/14
I contacted him on 12/12/14 on receipt of a reminder from VCH
Ricky told me to ignore it ( they won't start anything) need to wait 6 weeks.
Had I seen this thread then I would have paid the £60
Now I find that IAS never received an appeal.
I can't contact anyone from PTA for proof of postage?
Too late to pay £100 now - waiting for letter from the debt collector

re: 'waiting for letter from the debt collector ZZPS'.
    Why?
You know to ignore debt collector letters, from whatever johnny-come-lately name they've invented this week/next week/sometime/never:-)

Apply to paypal to get your money back.

Write to companies house to explain the company still owes you money (if they guaranteed they would pay the charge) and therefore should not be allowed to dissolve.

Complain to the police and/or trading standards if you feel a fraud occurred.

Write to the debt collector stating the debt is denied and to refer it to the principal. You will accept ADR to try and settle the dispute; otherwise the debt must be settled in court, to which a proper letter before claim must be sent to start the ball rolling.

  • PTAS (both incarnations) owe in excess of £32,000, and I'm happy to provide the evidence of this to MSE or any poster on request.

I have been contacted by more than one police force to ask about their processes, and have been asked to give statements for court.

Please do exactly as HooHoo has suggested - the more complaints the more likely that the scammer involved will get caught.

    What is the relevance?

What do you hope MSE (or any other poster) will do on seeing your "evidence"?

And how come someone who tells us they have no involvement in any appeal company has all this evidence?

And what about this promise of yours not to make comments or post here amymore:

Just to say that I'm not involved with PTAS or any other parking appeals company, but yes, to say that he's having some "difficulties" would be accurate. I'm not commenting further, as the police are also involved.

I also won't be taking part with further discussions here or on Pepipoo until this is resolved.
  • I made no promise - I stated I wouldn't post until it was resolved.

Do you have some inside knowledge that suggests it isn't resolved? As far as I'm aware, it's all over bar the prosecutions.

If you'd like me to stop posting, then you could always complain to MSE though

    I've applied to Paypal
The Police say that it's a civil matter and were not interested
Companies House say that the company is still active
I don't understand the last paragraph - not heard from the debt collector yet - what's ADR ?
