  • Funnily enough I was pulled in by the department of transport spot check guys, you know when you go into the layby and they check over the car etc etc,

    No adverse comments to make about the car whatsoever, ten days before my MOT

    Let's all talk about the £2500 penalty for speeding as well...

    Ignore any demands. it's their mistake and now want to get the money for it.

    Then lay into them for failing it (or giving the impression it would fail) on a rear windscreen wiper. Non-testable item, so DVSA would be interested if they actually failed it rather than advising (and making clear it was only an advisory) for that.
