Cancelling sky products

Options
Hi all, currently have sky tv with hd pack, line rental and unlimited BB. going to cancel it all and see what discount they can offer, think im currently about £55 a month, which i don't feel is too horrific since the bb is actually quite good with being unlimited, just see so many deal for new customers at half price.
What sort of offers can i expect when i cancel(best to do over phone or web chat)?
The only annoying thing is as i will be changing my subscription i will lose my entitlement to the F1 channel(grandfathered in since it was included with the hd pack), going to use my dads sky go for it next year.
Thanks.

It depends on what you say, to whom you speak, what mood they are in and what offers are available on their computer screen. If you are lucky you might get 25% off for 6 months.

    Get yourself through to retentions.
When asked tell them you are ringing up for a MAC.

Recently had a nice chat with them and got £5 off the broadband for 12 months and 12 months line rental for £140.40. Could not get a better deal on my TV as I wished to retain my legacy HD pack with F1.

I have the full pack and cancelled Friday. Today they called and offered me 25% off for 12 months with no new contract. I declined so hopefully will get a 50% off, if not no big deal as happy to go through with the cancellation.

Cancelled a month ago, Sky access stopped as expected last Tuesday (25th November). To date, nothing - no call, no e-mail, no letter, they have just let me go...

...how do people get these deals...

A lot depends on who you get through to when you ring up.
    Retentions have the best deals.

Have you logged into MySky since your TV was shut off? That showed 35% off until the actual cancellation day then jumped to 50% off for me.....if you have been off for a couple of weeks then you should be able to wangle an even better discounted deal.:)

I got no online offers, even after switch off; just a message saying none were available, so ring.

There was one phone call, while I was in hospital overnight and they failed to call back as my husband suggested.

I rang to negotiate phone/bb, got a good deal (free line rental) so asked about tv and got 50% off plus £10 credit.

What number do you ring to see if you can get a deal?
