Anyone transferred their line rental and calls to the Post Office and are they any good? Also can you still use the cheaper numbers to dial abroad ie 18866 we call France occasionally. We are with BT at the moment but I've had a call from a machine about the bill and I'm fed up with not speaking to a human being!
Thanks
Thanks

Instead of moving your line rental, leave it (BT Together Option 1) with BT but route your calls via a CPS/18185.
See the 'HERE' link in my signature below.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Depending on how many calls you make abroad (or how many call you would like to make) you may want to go for BT International Freedom.
The link tells you how it may help you.0 -

The Post Office Home Phone Service is now run by BT for the PO.:D
It can block access to the likes of 1899/18185 etc.0 -

Though you have to pay the £5 each and every month even if you make no calls, they also have an extremely low Fair Use Policy, so it's far from unlimited. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

LOL
..and to add insult to injury by moving line rental away from BT, you will now not be able to save money and use low cost call providers and once you add in caller display are paying more than you would if you simply kept BT for line rental and calls elsewhere such as Primus Saver 2 and Call 18185.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc...
