Hi guys, so i just signed up for a 12 month sky contact with the following package:

Family
sports
sky3D
skyHD
free HD box and a 100 quid m&s voucher.

Total monthly cost:£48.37 (for 12 months)
Cost without discount :£62.75

The bloke i haggled with in online chat gave me 25% off the TV component for 12 months, which i thought was ok, but seeing some of the deals people are getting on renewals i'm not so sure if i did infact get a good deal here?

Would be interested to see what other people think of this deal?

Cheers!

It's around 25%, which is exactly what I posted in the other thread 2 minutes ago.

Seems to be fair to me.

Renewal deals are different because there is no cost involved with installation and equipment. Once you start including that you will get less of a discount elsewhere.

It's interesting to see a new customer comparing deals for existing customers, it's usually the other way around.

Sky are providing you with free equipment and 25% off the usual price, seems a good enough deal to me.
  • Thanks for the replies chaps. I actually ended up calling back and they offered me 50% off for 12 months, which was nice.
  • when I cancelled Tv in October they offered me 30% discount which I declined and said I wanted 75%. Was then offered 50% and I refused. within a week I get an email offering me 60% and £100 bill credit. I accepted this offer
