how much should you be paying for babysitting?

Sadly living in a wealthy village I never thought I'd have to - this was top of priorities after this one!

I didn't really mind how much I was getting, to a point! It was a quiet, safe village and I only had to walk up to 200 metres home!

I kind of miss it although I wouldn't do it now - a bloke of 23 babysitting comes with too many nasty potential comments - something men can't really do these days!

thats a shame.although more and more men are going into nannying / nursery nursing which is nice to see

i used to baby sit for 2 children when i was a teenager and got paid 5 pound per night (from 6ish to any time after 12). one time they phoned my dad on the way home and told him to come and pick me up (we didnt have a car then so he had to walk) instead of getting me a taxi. oh and they stil didnt pay me for the last time i babysat for them...do you think 8 years is too longer time to ask for it?
