just a general question really
how many diarys do you read/keep track with?
I find the diarys a very insperational part of this site but i cant keep up with everyone but i am sad to admit I have only i have just 'found' two diarys that i had not read of two of my fave posters
anyways other than these two (once read) i have another three that i follow every day ~ one because the persons amazing beyond words and the other two because i look upto them
so whats your feelings/thoughts on the diarys you read... btw you dont have to name posting ids, this thread isnt for that but just in general

I like reading them but I forget which ones I'm reading!! I find them one of the most inspiring parts of these boards. I personally would like a sub-category thingie (like the bankruptcy one) just for diaries so at least I could find them all !!:DMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

I love them, but can only manage about 4 regularly.
I'm SO looking forward to the final chapters, esp those which I have followed from the beginning. I worry sometimes, that as they enter the final straight on their debt free course, they may forget to up-date their diary  (It is obviously the first thing that will cross their minds as they write that last cheque, receive that nil statement.....):o0 -
Hi Pap
I read about 7 a week and post once every so often, but it is hard to keep track with some of them as they move on so fast!!!
I agree benbenandme, that it would be nice if there was a sub-board just for diaries, though I tend to use the quick links tab to keep track of threads I've subscribed to!

I too really love to read the diaries. I think it is really inspirational to read people's progress and spurs me on with my own long and winding road.
I always really fancy writing a debt diary, but I sometimes think that I won't because there is quite a few on here already and with the more established ones well under way, people may not be interested in mine and I would be really embarrassed if I started one and nobody replied or read it
I also think it is great to pick up pointers and ideas from other people's threads - a great way of sharing tips and pointers.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 607 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T

I read 3 diaries pretty much every day, and two more whenever I see them (not updated so often). But I often dip into others too. I find them a huge support, to know there are others facing the same situation.
A couple that I read most regularly are people I feel I have a lot in common with: big debts, families to support, self-employed.... but there are others who live very different lives from me who write in such an engaging way that I find myself really rooting for them too.
I have a diary of my own and I find it really useful to record my progress and I love the support and friendship I get on it.
I love the diaries, my only qualm is that as I always read the diaries first when I log on, sometimes that means I don't spend much time encouraging newbies.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
I have quite a few that I try to keep up with - probably about (tries to add up on fingers....)5 that I read regularly and a few others that i try to catch up with when I ccan. Sometimes it does lead me to not being as active on other threads, but I do enjoy reading about others successes, and trying to be supportive when things don't go so well.CCCS DMP:Feb 07

Hi there...i read 6 myself as they are very inspirational and it's great to see people progressing and being able to share the ups and downs...I use the quick link for these as I'd never be able to find them otherwise.I also have my own and find the support brilliant whether I'm up or down.I also read and contribute to a few others when I have time as well and try to help some of the newbies.0

I have about 6 that I make a point of catching up and posting on, and then there are a few others who don't update their diaries very often, but when they do I like to see what's going on there, and post accordingly.
My diary keeps me sane, and other peoples diaries keep me sane too!! (if sane is at all possible!). I am very aware that I post on there quite a lot
I love it that others post on my diary -it keeps me motivated. So thank you all, however frequently or not you post!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I like to read them and keep up to date on a couple of them. If I don't have time to read them I'd just give them a miss until I had more time. They make me realise i'm not going mad and i'm not the only one whose life doesn't run perfectly. Thanks to everyone who does a diary xxJanuary budget

I mooch around but don't read any regularly, although when I come accross one I've read before, I just love to read how they are getting on. inspirational, esp. when they are further down the line than you are. Yes my sentiment too - thanks to all who are brave enough to bare all!LBM 17th April 2007:j
