loveadove can you please already sign me up for January. Bit crazy here, constantly in other people's houses and away again from Mo.day for three days, I'm scared I'll miss it. Thank you
Hope everybody had a lovely Christmas. Ours was great but I'm ready for a holiday -without the kids! Doesn't help that OH overdone the whiskey and wine a few nights so my hoped for lie ins didn't happen so far. He'll definitely get kicked out of bed tomorrow, lol. Knackered but had a great time with friends and family though. Probably won't get a chance to post again, so here it is already: HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all. May it be a good one and may all your wishes and ambitions come true. Health and happiness to you all x

Missed a spend free day over xmas so think I am now up to 14.
Today was a spendy day but we went shopping and filled the fridge, freezer and cupboards as OH's parents arrive early tomorrow!!!!
House is now spotless and ready to be inspected.
We spent the evening adding pictures to our lap trays (we found these amazing lap trays where it has holes to add in our own photographs. They look pretty good.
Dad also came down and helped put up my collage frame (also completed... for now).
Xmas gave us some amazing pressies and some hmmmmm ones. Trying to figure out what to do with those.
One of my presents was a "Saving with Jamie". Hoping it is good for basic cooking as I am not very competent.
:undecided
I think I read that loveadove is doing January's challenge... If so can you add me in please??
I don't know how online I will be whilst OH's parents are here. (I also don't want them to know I am in debt. I don't have my head in the sand but I also feel like I am not good enough for my OH).

Morning all
Loving the snow on the ground here as it just encourages everyone to stay indoors and my village is extra quiet today. No intention of going anywhere, except a bit of dog walking later. Cleaned the food cupboard out this morning but now I've retreated back under the duvet.

Morning folks, sorry I haven't contributed to the thread much this month. My focus was on pushing through the final month of work.
I have had a lovely Christmas and feel really grateful for all the lovely gifts I got. I will sort them all out when I get home as OH and I are having a holiday in Aberfoyle just now. It is a stunning winter day here today, clear blue skies and a thick frost everywhere. We will be heading out for a walk shortly.
I did quite well in the sales yesterday. I have been looking for a set of espresso cups for ages and found some yesterday that were reduced to £8. I also went to Lakeland and bought up some of their Christmas presentation range, for a fraction of the price, that I will use next year.
My goals for 2015 are:
1. Focus on my health and start exercising regularly, walk more, cook from scratch no takeaways. Aiming to lose weight slowly but steadily across the year.
2. Learn to crochet better than I can right now and make a granny square throw for my mum for her 70th this year. Make (cook, bake or craft) most of my gifts this year.
3. By being resourceful, frugal and using the support on these threads I aim to improve the quality of life me and OH have but at the same time spend less money and add to our savings.0 -
Popping in to say this month has gone off the rails somewhat. I only have 2 more SFDs to report although I managed a 100% Walk to and from work total which is an hour each way and I have been surprised at doing that during colder weather and in spite of some foot related probs making it a bit harder.
SFDs 8/15
WTW 100%
LTW approx 30% althoug it was 0% before that.
thank you for the challenge, I'll see what I can do to add a few more SFDs between now and 2015!0 -
Afternoon everyone... I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and are looking forward to a frugal New Year:snow_grin
I've just spent ages catching up with you all (since page 16! oops). I did say I'm a bit remiss at posting but I've been with you all in spirit..... honestI've almost stuck to my budgets and nearly reached my NSD target. I wouldn't have been so close without this challenge, so thank you all :T
We had a lovely Christmas despite my DD having pleurisy.... I had everyone home and that's the main thing. I spent on Boxing day but planned spends, all budgeted for. DH needed a new notebook (doing a PHD) and I bought snow boots and a very posh coat for when we go to Scotland to live next year. Half price boots and £90 off a £225 coat so very happy with that!
I'll be back in a bit to put down my goals (which I haven't done yet) and to sign up for the Jan challenge.
And as I'm the last to wish you all 'Happy Christmas' let me be one of the first to wish you all a Very Happy New Year _party_

stewbywhere did you get your photo trays from?
Well it appears the electric gremlins:mad: are at work in our house again for the third time this year, over christmas DD2 cd player stopped working so did ours, the dvd bust and this morning the kettle nearly burst into flames:eek: good job i was close by. So the camping kettle has come out and DD2 personal dvd player will have to be used for music when we're doing physio as its the 2nd one she's broke this year. DD1 is currently bartering with us as she has a cd player in her room. Tempted as it would be cheaper than buying a new one. Her money saving earning skills have developed alot since we decided to get more moneywise. Hopefully this will continue once she becomes an adult. She got quite a few lets say inappropriate presents for christmas so she wants to have a go at ebay. Hoping its straight forward to do as never done before. Another nsd today:jbudgets = food gone:eek:/ petrol almost gone:eek:/nsd:mad:/ Treats: where the money gone? far far away:mad:/exercise not happening/declutter: only my purse:(
time for me :fat chance0 -

Hi sazzlebgood, the first couple of items you sell, it takes a little while to get used to the process but I've sold a lot on there this year and can now put an ad on in less than a minute. Plus you now get 20 free listings a month and I think I read its free to list as many items as you like between Christmas Day and New Years Day.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)
