Hi Traveller, Loving it! How to put a teenager off the rubbish that is a limo.
Still laughing to myself as I am signing off after reading all the thread. Thank you everyone. Feeling less lonely now.
It wasn't the way I would have chosen anyone to be put off anything to be honest. Myself and other parents, were worried as we didn't know what was going on. Not to mention the fact that if he was over his hours the children's safety was at risk. Done properly, this should have been a good event, as has been done in the past.
I didn't bother go and pick up anything after allcouldn't be bothered. One was the boots soap and glory set, it was paid for so no hurry can wait till Tuesday when I'm back in the office. The other, a little stocking filler for the little fella. It's with Argoo$ so i'll just try to reserve and pick it up on Tuesday. Can anyone believe it's just 11 days till christmas and then the next big thing is 2015
So who's aiming to be debt free in 2015? I am and have joined the 2015 all your debts by christmas thread. Yesterday through the post, I received an annual statement from MBNA it showed I had paid over 5k in the year! I felt so proud I'd stuck to it! Thanks for the support guys :T When debt busting gets you down it helps to have like minded people on your side

Hi dolly, welcome back
Today has been SFD number 8 :j but didn't do any exerciseas I visited family instead
Maria, I completely agree that being frugal can be quite tiring, as can trying to maintain SFDs as I often end up running around to get as many errands as possible into one day.
Did a good deed today but not sure its good enough to count. My mum was collecting M0rris0ns vouchers and was missing one to get the Christmas discount so I found one on ebay and it should be delivered to her house next week, in time for the big Christmas shop.
Looking forward to the final week of term and then the holidaysLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

That's fantastic traveller, well done!
I am so excited for 2015. I would really like to be debt free this year, and it is just about within reach, but it will depend on quite a few things. We were hoping to get married in 2016 but I can't save enough money for the wedding and become debt free. Also if there any house issues - there is the odd tile falling off the roof and some loose bricks above one of the windows - I may not be able to get DF, even if we put the wedding back. So many possibilities, I can't think straight with all of this going round in my head.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

traveller - I'm glad dd is ok. You had worked so hard and saved for so long to give her that lovely gift. Any chance of compensation from the limo company? It's not as if you were a last-minute booking. And a massive congratulations on paying off sooo much debt! :T
Fmess - your brain is on overload with no 'off' switch by the sound of it! Roll on the end of term. Then maybe you can do some calculations on the debt-free/wedding outlays. What does OH say/think? If he's willing to postpone the wedding, then why not do that and remove the extra pressure of doing both at the same time? (and I, for one, reckon your good deed certainly qualifies!)
dollllllly!!! Lovely to see you. Do keep popping in.
Calling - those are good Sains vouchers you have there! One of my goals for next year is to shop there as infrequently as possible! The only thing I have yet to source elsewhere is g-f breadsticks and sometimes the genius bread.
mothernerd - good news about DS3's game!
Today I am grateful for getting some fresh air and daylight, for a warm house and good food and plenty of clothing when so many have so little, for beingable to cut back simply because I have so much, for my lovely dd who hasn't asked much of me today, for the trampoline at the playground.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Just off to bed, but calling in with another sfd, think that's 6 now, so not doing as bad as I thought I was.
Just 5 days to work now before I have Xmas off, and then only two working days between Xmas and new year year, it's worked out really well for me this year, and hopefully I will have retired by next Christmas.

Hello everyone, good to hear all of your weekend endeavours! Glad everyone is safe and well despite some mishaps.
I've had two spendy days but I'm happy that I've had a fun AND productive weekend. Yesterday, met friends out for a cuppa and then picked up the things I missed in my shopping, so now I'm even more over food budget! Today I got a refund on some faulty shoes and bought a few xmas presents. Bought some new curtains for my bedroom in Next Clearance, and my Ebay sale just now should cover the price of those, so very happy.
Had a great experience in Lush today. Was buying my secret santa a gift and asked about their shampoo bars as they have mixed reviews online and recommended getting a sample. The lovely shop assistant said she couldn't cut a bit off for a sample, but why don't you just take one for free and try it out! Then at the till she gave me another block of soap and said, this smells similar to the shampoo bar, so have this as well! About £9 of products for free, left me feeling very happy and grateful that she was so kind and generous. :TNST September: SFD 17/20, food £62.87/£60, travel £61.55/£40, Outings £39.80/£100, Allotment £7.17/£30 Other: £42.32, Meditation ?/30.

Wow synonymous , I'm so impressed with their customer service. Let us know whether the products are any good.
Applemuncher OH isn't bothered about getting married, doesn't really see the need but is happy to go along with my desire to be married, however when I suggested putting it back a year, he appeared offended! Men! (He has also been generally driving me insane for the last week about anything and everything - I'm sure he wasn't this difficult to live with a few weeks ago)

Sorry for being awol guys. I have tried to catch up but my eyes are getting too sleepy. Pass the matchsticks.
5 days away. 4 of them SFD'sand one a LSD so am happy. Makes 10 for me :j - didn't think I would hit my self imposed target but just maybe
Groceries £64.74/£100 - not bad, but not amazing. Still shedloads in the house. We won't starve even if the apocalypse comes.
