  • Only small spends today on a paper and payig for DD1 to meet up with friends. Even though she almost a teenager apparently she still went and saw Santa with her friends. Today has been a good day my mum and auntie were due to go on a christmas wreath making course and my auntie couldn't go. So i went and made a wreath,(free as course already paid for and i didn't have to reimburse my auntie) and then i went to my dad's to drop off a truckle of cheese to say thank you for mending my lights and he's bourght a new t.v (just because.......) so has gave me his old one (only 2 years old). I love people's cast offs. OH and i had a conversation about the fact that when we look round our house most of the contents is others cast offs, gifts or stuff we've recyled.

  • Morning everyone! VERY spendy day yesterday, but I'm pleased to say that I've now finished every bit of christmas shopping - presents are wrapped, cards are written... some have even been delivered! Christmas is so much easier since I've started using YNAB - can't wait till next year when I'll have an entire year to build up a fund. I also treated myself to the Hobbit, with a bonus Star Wars trailer; my inner geek was very happy.

    Groceries £0/£150 15th december till 15th January
    SFDs: 4/15
    Petrol £0/ 60 15th December till 15th January
    Christmas 0/£60
    Lunch to work: 10/15

I've been having a think about goals for next year, and have come up with a list - this might change slightly when I do my proper new years resolutions, but the main things are all here. Great idea for a mini challenge fmess!

    1. Complete my HR qualification to a high standard and search for another, more challenging job.

    2. Fill all my rainy day funds and build up an emergency fund

    3. Continue to spend wisely and remain in credit in my current account.

    4. Continue to follow weight watchers and lose weight (3 stone down, 8 to go!)

    5. Travel to at least two new places next year.
Proud to be debt free September 2014. :j

Morning all :) Well I too will have a spendy day today, I have two more presents to get and that's it. Very tired this morning. Daughter had her Limo party. However, the driver got pulled over in central London and given a 24 hour ban  kids were stuck waiting for a new driver for over 2 hours! They were supposed to be back at one and didn't come back till gone 3 am. Needless to say, I've sent the company a stern email! But and this is the biggest thing, I'm glad they are all ok! Anything could have happened and the fact all children are safe and sound is irreplaceable :) Feeling knackered, I cannot be bothered to go to get presents, but we STILL haven't put the tree up :o The little fella is doing his nut, lol! Well have a good sunday everyone and take care :)

Claimed another NSD as I'm not going anywhere. Very tired so having a lazy day - think DS3 was awake all night and him moving about and playing cartoons kept me from sleeping. Went downstairs to eat and put away pots, washed up,sorted bits of rubbish and wrapped wet washing round my shoulders (and head) to bring it back up (sheet hanging over the stair well, pillowcases on the airer.

There are things I could do downstairs but DS3 has now gone to sleep in the little bed down there. His new game has sold 12 copies and he's had several donations as well - thought he had released it last week but that was just the unlock code released early (content is aimed at teenagers and above so he releases the game and then people get the unlock code after he's checked they are old enough) Game was only finished last night so he's quite pleased (only a simple one, the complicated one is still a work in progress).

Glad he's gone to sleep as he was very grumpy earlier. Lurgy seems to be on it's way out - roll on a proper shower and getting my hair washed.

Today I am grateful for the birds (bit of colour on this miserable grey day), for my bed and for lazy days.

Another NSD claimed in the apple household.

Dd was happy to skip kids klub and I'm fighting the lurgi, so we've both contentedly stayed at home. She is still in her jamas - I am only dressed because I thought we were going out!

I've been writing some cards, using cards I've had for many a year - shows how unsociable I have become! I also realised that almost every tree decoration is older than dd, who is nearly 7!

However, I have made carrot and coriander soup for this week's lunches. And dismantled dd's cardboard playhouse, and had a mega tidy-up (and binning of rubbish) under dd's bed. She 'helped' in her own sweet way :D.

We are about to go out for a short walk - dd is finally getting dressed!
