Please can you put me down for £10 a day for this month?
I am already off to a good start as I was given £210 today - some of it is birthday money (my birthday was Saturday) but as I received the money today I am not including it in November.:j0 -

Hiya and welcome to the new peoples
Went to Livingston shopping outlet and bought some new jumpers, a fleece each, a shirt for DH and some leggings for DGD. Also had a till spit for half-price at Holl & Barr and bought some nicorette gum on special in B**ts. So altogether savings of £ 123.01. Then surveys and scans added another £ 6.25. Grand total for the day of £ 129.26 :j
Hope you all have a terrific Tuesday

Morning, all:wave:
Well done to everyone who has got off to a flying start already this month:T
Just a couple of queries from me (you'd think I'd know the 'rules' by now, being a 'veteran' of doing 2 months of the challenge:o). I just wondered what everyone else does.
I see that lynnejk has added savings from things bought at reduced price (brilliant savings there lynnejk:T). Not sure whether to do this as just about everything I buy is reduced, we practically live on 'whoopsies' and other stickered food for instance:o.
Do people count vouchers when you get them or when you spend them? I did a shop at Morries yesterday and used £20 of vouchers but I remember I'd already added £10 of them to my total earlier on when I actually received them through the post. A bit worried I might be counting some things twice. I was thinking of adding the vouchers when I actually spend them, until then they are just worthless pieces of paper.
Have a profitable day, everyone.0 -

Hi carbootcrazy - There are guidelines on the Opening Post of the thread but when I was doing the challenge regularly I always got the impression that people recorded in whatever way motivated them (or at least that's what I did). At the moment I am saving up so I will only record actual money in or money shaved off my budget - ie what I can see on my bank balance. But if recording savings motivates you to get where you want to be - go for it. Re: vouchers - Again I would say do what makes sense to you but stay consistent (& don't double count lol).
I haven't done this challenge for over a year so hopefully someone will come along with much more recent experience.
Happy Money SavingShifting my energy for 2020
