I feel sorry for the staff in these places.
I have done all my shopping apart from an Ever After High doll so I only looked online to see if anywhere (Argos, Debenhams, Tesco) had reduced the price. They hadn't so I am waiting now to see if I can see the item reduced in a week or so's time.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
The thing I found crazy was emphasised by one particular video - two guys fighting over a tv, in their struggle the fell over, falling on the tv and then continued to fight over it. They'd probably broken it in their struggle but that didn't matter, they had to be the "winner"! I wondered what stores returns policy will be for returning broken goods because in that madness there had to be plenty of items broken!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
Current debt - £6,450.00

Can't believe what I'm reading...
“There are lads in there three, four, five tellies. It’s not fair.”
One of those lads was Andy Blackett, 30, an estate agent, who had two trolleys full of bargains. “I got two coffee makers, two tablets, two TVs and a stereo,” he said. “I couldn’t tell you the prices, but I know they’re bargains.”
Shock announcement - we only own one tv, no tablets and no stereo. I do have an old iPod classic from 2007 which I love for journeys and exercise. I went crazy on black Friday and bought a pack of 3 Colgate toothbrushes and some toothpaste from the pound shop - total spend £2 - as I needed a new brush and more toothpaste. I am trying to have a relaxed, minimalist home and this year most of my purchases have been replacing things that have worn out/been used up. It's been great for cash-flow and a lot less stressful not having to worry about parking in city centres, where to store my purchases, and how to pay for stuff I'm buying. Christmas shopping is done - hay cakes from pet shop for rabbit. My parents are both getting a poster of their family tree I've been working on from free trials of Ancestry, my OH is getting a Harry Potter cross stitch I made with supplies I already had (using up my craft stash) and my brother will get a free lunch next time I visit him. I made some close friends felt tree decorations which I'm giving them this week (I bought two felt squares in colours I didn't have that cost £1.20) I've spent £9.70 (£2.50 poster printing, £1.20 felt, £3 hay cake pack, £3 on a roll of brown paper, string and washi tape to wrap) and will probably spend £20 or so on my brother and his fiancees lunch."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better." I agree with MrWillyWonka- it's only worth it if you need something, or planned to buy something anyway.
If you needed/wanted something and had the cash to buy it then Black Friday is a great thing!
If not....Total Starting Debt August 2014- £38,061

Well I've done alright today. I bought two prezzies, £69 and £50 from T*sco; used my boosted double points so in theory they have cost £59.50 but of course they are free. :j
And I've got £5 credit for them on its way from topcashback :j
So two prezzies sorted and extra £5 in pocket
And no fuel used and no tussling with the bargain hunters as I didn't even leave my sofa :cool:0 -

Why do people do this on this site? You do realise that every post you make on this site has the full word Tesco in it because it's in your signature don't you?
What exactly do you think you are achieving by not posting the full word?

The point being that it really doesn't matter and as it was sooooo important to you that you needed to comment, you really need to get a life. To resort to insults in your second post is just rude and unnecessary, grow up.0 -
