  • Good morning all :j

    I have been on MSE for a while now but have never really got stuck into a challenge. For the past few days I have been reding back through this thread and have decided that this is the best challenge to start with as it's equally about the little amounts as well as the big ones and at the moment this would be easier to achieve. I would love to join you in the new challenge starting on Friday and my aim is to have lots of pennies saved towards Christmas 2016.

    Even though I'm new here I will be eagerly awaiting your totals tomorrow and cheering you on from the sidelines :T

    Now off to find a suitable container (or maybe 2) to use :)

    £464 in sealed pot
    £15.88 in shrapnel
    £400 in local pub savings scheme

    Thrilled to bits with that,means I haven't got to raid bank balance for gifts or Christmas goodies and still leaves loads for the sales. I'm in for next year
    Thank you Sue-UU for your encouragement all through the year, it's been really appreciated x

    - you can start saving just as soon as you wish.

    A very good afternoon to all Potters, mad ones and otherwise!! :cool: That's the house done through ready for the onslaught tomorrow! I hope you lot aren't going too mad out there - absolutely NO bowling people over mind, jakes-mum, you either Saver-upper, Westie and those others who, for now, will not be named...behave!!! :naughty::naughty: You Know who you are! :cool: {{{hugs}} to all of you in need of them.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Oh Lordy-sooooooooo excited :j:j:j.
    As I was going to bed last night (about 2am),I counted up how many hours til I open my pot :eek:.I based my calculation on being able to start counting at about 2pm (because that was nice round maths at 2am :eek:),but actually I think I will be home from work earlier than that,so should be even sooner.
    Sooooooooo,it is 37.5 hours til my pot opening !!!!!!:D:D:D:D
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::D:D:D:D.

    oh,yeah,and I opened another envelope (the 2nd of 3) : 4 x£1 coins,payment from a customer who had accidentally underpaid me a few days before.

    37.49999999999 hours to go.............:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Time to just calm down a bit, Saver-upper, we get that you're excited, but if jakes-mum were to see you like this all hell'd break loose and we'd have an outbreak of calling pots disease 'n all sorts going on! :eek: That's right breathe in a relaxed way...loosen the clothes - not THAT much woman!!!!! :eek: :wall:Not long to go now (thank the Lord! :()

    pab233 - I see this is your first post, so please, if you need any help whatsoever, just ask. We're a very friendly (slightly mad) bunch and all like to help each other as well as have a laugh. Best wishes with your savings, if you read the 1st post on page 1, then you'll know there are so many ways you can save, it's amazing how it quickly mounts up too!

    OMG what amazing results coming in already, it's more exciting than the Eurovision song contest lol loving the excited posts really brightened a sad week just reading, on a more positive note I am hoping with all my heart to have potted enough so big bear can come home with us from toysrus and we have just £29.99 in the pot haha. I was thinking though, I am hoping for £30ish in the pot within 3 weeks of potting multiply by 12 that's a princely sum towards next Christmas eh, so really every penny does count :)..
