Help req'd please.

After wasting hours bouncing around the various vf departments using 191 I am now officially at the end of my tether.

In summary after vf offered me a good deal to stay with a shiny new S5 it was all off as all of a sudden out of stock. As they didn't know when new stock was due in I cancelled the upgrade. At that point I was assured that my original contract would be put in place. Yep you've guessed it this wasn't done and it took a further 3 hours of calls to sort it out. Every time I called I asked that a complaint be raised and a response required. To date I've had none, nada, ziltch by way of any update from vf and as far as they are concerned they have done no wrong that needs any explanation.

Is there an easier way to raise a complaint to vf as I have tried phone, chat, etc? Do I need to actually put something in writing and post it as I can see nothing on their contact us page other than postal addresses and the totally useless 191 numbers?

Now asked for my PAC for both my accounts as after 12 years loyally giving vf my money I am fed up and happy to go elsewhere but I still think that I deserve the courtesy of a response as to why I have had so many issues and why I had to do the running about to sort them.

Sorry for the rant but you can only guess how I feel having to deal with the teams on 191 using the "Big Book of Answers" vf issue to their "Customer Service" teams.

  • IF they haven't actually put you on a new contract get out while you can.

The ONLY way you'll get anywhere anyway is by contacting the Web Relations Team - pick a Vodafone complaints thread (there are plenty to choose from) and follow the repeated instructions.

This should get you a PAC if you send it by recorded post http://consumers.ofcom.org.uk/files/2010/03/PAC-request.pdf

Get the Web Relations team to check that they haven't put you on a new contract first though. If you're within the 14 day period for such a contract, cancel it.

I don't think that would be an option if there has been an upgrade. Besides, it would take 14 YEARS to get through to anyone there to cancel!
  • Thanks folks.

I wonder if any of the vf staff who monitor these threads would care to take up the challenge of sorting this mess out or should I just head off to a new provider and be done with vf once and for all?
