Hi
I too was going to ask a similar question. I am looking for a small laptop which is easy to carry when travelling, l will mainly be using it to upload photos and search the internet and perhaps some on line gaming (whilst waiting at airports etc) - l don't really need office as anything like that will be done via email when l need to keep in touch .
I did wonder about this one and wondered if it is good value and would do what l need it to do?

Don't know how good it is at on line gaming, but I've got a Medion Akoya E1317T, which recently accompanied me (in a daysack) to Antwerp and Berlin.
It has a nice small (but usable) 10.1" screen, and comes with Win 8 (with a free update to Win 8.1) and (and I know you said you didn't need it, but still) a full version of Office 2013.
Closed, it's 10.5" x 7.25" x 1.0", and weighs just 1.285Kg.
Last time I looked, Asda were selling them for £169.0
