Talk Talk Early Speedy Payment Discount Decrease

Just paid my monthly Talk Talk bill by the speedy payment discount and have noticed that the discount has gone down from 15% to 10%...

Has anyone else noticed this?

Yeah, there's a thread somewhere.

I got on the phone to them today as they've upped the line rental too so are sending out emails saying the right to cancel is available.

Got ½ price fibre and ½ price Simply Broadband for 12 months. Barely had to ask so they know the situation.

The guy they weren't the dearest yet for line rent (by 30p?) but I could tell he has no answers really about the reduced Speedy Payment and the virtually value-less so-called Value Line Rental. That's a real killer for me.

Still, I'll stick with them as they've been pretty good and there's no much out there really (free call barring, free caller ID, free withheld block etc).

I think Plusnet look to be the only other option with a similar price on the basic services.

The way things are going line rental will be touching £20 this time next year. Only way they can make other deals look good.
