You, sir, should be horse-whipped for such a cruel hoax  on MSEers awaiting with baited breath for the latest fraction of a % rise on any accounts they hold!! ;)

My guess is no change too.
Though did I read somewhere if they don't increase it after 2 BoE rises they have to allow penalty free withdrawals under the Banking Code or similar? If so I'm with 7.1%.

How long did it take you to think of that blf?

IMO the thread is irresponsible and time wasting and I hope it doesn't start a trend in "joke" postings. Many people have difficulty accessing clear and easily understandable information from financial institutions without having to waste time with humourous (I don't think so) misinformation.

thought it made a change from a "when is yorkshire BS gonna announce a rate rise post "

I haven't seen anything regarding penalty free withdrawals (from reg saver accounts) Ian, but if the rate falls significantly* with respect to the BOE rate, the Banking Code requires the provider to write to you laying out your options and stating that there may be better accounts available.

    * I believe the BBA have interpreted this as 0.5%, which fits with your 2 (1/4 point) BOE rises.
