You, sir, should be horse-whipped for such a cruel hoax  on MSEers awaiting with baited breath for the latest fraction of a % rise on any accounts they hold!!bristolleedsfan wrote: »joke :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
My guess is no change too.
Though did I read somewhere if they don't increase it after 2 BoE rises they have to allow penalty free withdrawals under the Banking Code or similar? If so I'm with 7.1%.0 -
How long did it take you to think of that blf?
IMO the thread is irresponsible and time wasting and I hope it doesn't start a trend in "joke" postings. Many people have difficulty accessing clear and easily understandable information from financial institutions without having to waste time with humourous (I don't think so) misinformation.0 -

thought it made a change from a "when is yorkshire BS gonna announce a rate rise post " :rolleyes:0 -
I haven't seen anything regarding penalty free withdrawals (from reg saver accounts) Ian, but if the rate falls significantly* with respect to the BOE rate, the Banking Code requires the provider to write to you laying out your options and stating that there may be better accounts available.Though did I read somewhere if they don't increase it after 2 BoE rises they have to allow penalty free withdrawals under the Banking Code or similar?
* I believe the BBA have interpreted this as 0.5%, which fits with your 2 (1/4 point) BOE rises.0
