You need to pay the "balance due" as shown on your printed or electronic statement to be cleared into the account after Nov 4th and by Dec 1st. Ignore your on screen balance, only the printed or electronic statement counts.

So basically I'm stuffed because I don't get paid until the 8th and I haven't got enough to pay the balance.

Cool, thanks for the help :)

Paying the full balance is only to avoid interest. If you have paid at least the minimum payment as stated on the statement you will not incur any other fees or charges.

I always make sure I pay something off each calendar month, never less than what would be the minimum payment.

Your statement would say for sure, but it is often the greater of 1% of the balance + fees + interest, or £5 (or £25 for some cards), or another calculation entirely.

The fact your minimum payment now says £0 indicates you have already paid off the minimum for that statement period.

Thank you for reassuring me :)

It sounds like you'll be fine but you could phone Barclays or pop into branch and ask them just to be 100% positive.

Well it's payment date and my minimum amount still says £0 so I'm assuming that £20 I paid off did the job until I get paid :)
