Hi,
I wondered if someone could help me - I've recently moved house from a rented property to my own, and had gas central heating installed.
In my old property, the thermostat was on the wall in the kitchen (dial) you turned it to a temperature and that was that
However - I've been given a Salus RT505TX Control, and I've no flipping idea how to use it, and the guys who installed the heating never showed me, they said best way to learn is to look on Youtube!
In all honesty I just want to be able to turn the thing on and off when I need it. At the moment I'm doing this on the boiler and its getting annoying.
The other thing that ive noticed is that the Thermostat is showing 19degrees, but my room thermometer is saying 14! upstairs just will not heat up but the radiators are all on high
Any ideas anyone? I don't want to sit here freezing cold any more!

Probably the best way to understand the programemer is to read through the maunual or view the video. There should also be a room thermostat.
Regarding it being cold upstairs are your radiators warm you need to get the installer back to sort this out. It could be for any number of reasons and as the system is new they should sort it out. Whilst they are sorting it out they can explain the programmer.0 -
Do you have TRV's on your radiators? These can be adjusted to suit individual rooms but really you should be able to set the temperature with a room thermostat quite easily the installers should have shown you how this can be done!0

Did they flush out the pipes and radiators?0

Hi, I read the manual and set the times but upstairs is still freezing. I put the thermostat in the coldest room and temperature raised by 1 degree. not ideal when this is my 2 year olds room
All the pipes and radiators were brand new - there wasn't a heating system in place, all radiators are ser to the highest setting.
Normally I barely spend anything on gas, I'm dreading my bill!!!0 -
The upstairs radiators not working is nothing to do with your Salas Room stat if the downstairs rads are working.
Are the lock shields on the other end of the rads open? Lock shields are used to help balance the heating system. Maybe these are fully closed. What about the actual flow and return pipes to these rads, are they warm or cold? Have the rads been bled from any possible air trapped in them?0
