okay - This is definately my last post on the subject
. Why do you accept the wording of a voucher that says something like "£5 off when you spend £40" without question ? By your definition above are not " spending" £40 because you are only handing over £35
Okay you win :T. Goodnight!

I just love how calm you have remained trying to explain this. Hats off to you."It would be easier to find a packet of sliced hippopotamus in suitcase sauce" - Basil Fawlty0 -
Me and my husband are also in the thick brigade, because we had to ask the woman at Morries!! I think its the intelligent people that query the wording....... haha. i always read too much into the terms and conditions anyway, in case i'm made to look a fool at the till...0

Right then. Just done my shop. Asked the guy putting stock out in f&v dept, who read the coupon and said he wasn't sure but he thought it meant £10 in your basket in total.
So, collected £5.47 f&v and £6.05 other items, presented voucher at checkout, to be told "sorry it's only valid on fruit and veg". I indicated my carrier bag full of f&v and said "what d'you think this is?". He said he'd have to call the supervisor! Then he said he thought it had to be £10 of f&v!
Waited a while, then he asked the next door checkout assistant, who looked at the coupon rather puzzled then said she *thinks* it's okay. However it wouldn't scan, so he reluctantly keyed the barcode in.
I'd have thought they'd have been briefed on this offer. Apparently not. Good luck everyone!

I had a great experience in store today and at a s/scan till. The "Old Dear" who processed the coupon entered it manually and knew the code off by heart. lol
She said, "Do you think I've entered quite a few of these?". Bless her and thanks for a great shopping experience. :T
See what next week brings, if anything. A meat offer coupon would be very much appreciated.
