How strange I had my Covid booster on Wednesday at a local chemist, and my 'Flu jab on Thursday at the Drs surgery, its left my left arm a bit red and warm but thats about all. But was told to drinklots of water during the day

I had both jabs the same day at the Dr's, one in each arm. Each covid jab has made me feel rough, and this was no different. I still think it would be better than getting full blown illness though so worth it I thinkMe, DD1 20, DS 18, DD2 15, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/199

Covid booster done and dusted, will await the usual stiff arm.
There was a small queue when we arrived and, although a bit breezy, the weather was kind to us as it was fairly mild and sunny. If I'd been going on my own, I would have walked there and back but with DH in tow (poor mobility) we needed taxis. Alas, they were not so kind on the purse! :'( At least they were budgeted for as I have a "taxi pot" that receives 50p a week to cater for when we do need one. Flu jab will be done later this month at a separate clinic.
Be kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
Loving all your ideas and suggestions - keep them coming -
Re the hand/wrist warmers etc I have been very warm and toastie the last few days by going back to the 80's and wearing leg warmers - made out of the arms of an old jumper, rather than wear boot socks inside the house.Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out.Thats what I keep telling myself :-)7 -
Our knitting group are knitting hand and wrist warmers for a local charity as part of our town's let's keep everyone warm this winter campaign.10

Finally got round to caulking some gaps in the floor and skirting boards this morning. We do feel a tiny draft from there bout mostly its tobget rid of the errant slug that seems to come in every I night since we got the patio doors done. Obviously a gap was left. If this doesn't stop it we will have to remove the patio step and have a proper look outside as to how they're getting in...dont like the thought of them being under the floor boards but I guess the air bricks under the floorboards would provide an entry point if they were that keen anyway

I am about wash the two curtains I bought to use as door curtains. It was like summer yesterday, but is much chiller today and so tonight I am trying out the heated throw as well as the heated airer and also testing my central heating for half an hour.5

I've just made some leg warmers from the arms of a jumper that I really wanted to love, but just didn't fit right. Now I have some cracking leg warmers, and a knitted vest/body warmer that fits so much better without the sleeves

I found when I had patio doors they would "ride" in on the inner slide, drop off indoors.Scrimps said:Finally got round to caulking some gaps in the floor and skirting boards this morning.
