Really wild night here now, very blustery wind howling round the house and in the windows, Got blinds down and curtains half shut - I never normally shut my curtains. But it makes you feel cosier :) I'm sat knitting slippers to go on top of my hand knitted socks, as for the first time ever my feet have been cold. I wish the cat could knit and help..

It's picked up back down here as well, swear the weather is conspiring against me workdays have been dry and warm ( well we've hit 10c) my days off heavy rain and gales, I desperately need to clean the inside of my car out.
But it's lovely to see the nights are slowly drawing out,

    Hi

Too right ... :D ... if you think the weather's conspiring against you, just think what everyone with solar panels for electricity & hot water think when it's been relatively dull for almost a year & they have pretty detailed records of how bad it's been, not by the day, but by the hour! ... ;) .... anyway, it's cloudy, raining (showers) & breezy here at the moment, but as you say, at least we're on the downhill slope to a wonderful summer! .. ( .. ever the optimist! ..)

    Keep warm & dry

... and as if by magic, blue sky and bright sunshine just a half-hour later !! ... I knew I should have checked the usual satellite images for a short-term forecast ... :o:D

it's snowed heavily here overnight, and snowing on and off today too :-)

Edited to add white all over now and snowing heavily at 3.30pm. The coal man had to grit the hill to get up it, so I'm going no-where! Just the way I like it :-)

Same here WCS, heavy deep snow now, been falling all day. Already seen one van on its roof beside the road. It feels like we're all settling in nice and cosy now - neighbours who work are all home and the school was closed. Just waiting for the power to go off now lol
  • Same here, but if it does I can do soup and toasties on the stove :-)
Our main road was blocked for several hours due to an accident towards the city, but open again now. Pretty isn't it??:)
  • No snow here but much heavy rain and although it's currently 5 degrees out there there is such a biting little wind gusting that it feels much colder when you're walking in it.
