It can happen yes, in your friends case the person who did the assessment has now left and didn't complete the report and because of this more information is needed. I've read stories of this happening before. I'm not sure what you can do about it though to be honest. You can get your friend to try writing to his/her local MP to try to get the next assessment quicker. You can also make a complaint Capita.

If more information needed what they will ask? do they ask same questions in 2nd assessment? if not what is like on 2nd assessment is it same as 1st?

Do they use any information from first assessment?or they will only look at 2nd assessment when they complete report and send back to dwp?thanks

the reason for a 2nd assessment would be because they've lost the first assessment report, which is what i said in my other post. The questions they'll ask would probably be the same as the first time.

Look these things happen, people leave whatever, the report didn't get finished so they have to see them again.

I really think all this business of claiming for this and that in expenses is a bit un-necessary and just going to add to the stress. It isn't a bottomless pit of money to be claimed for every single little reason.

I also think one has to accept people leave in any job and that is just the way things are.

I would not advocate compensation if the level of consumer service - largely the wait, though there are other matters wasn't so low as to make the additional interview and delay beyond the pale.

Hello my friend just had her 2nd assessment today i was there with her the lady from capita came late when she sat down apologized she was late due to traffic etc.,then she started using her laptop after checking id,she went through all questions, during assessment she was not friendly at all i felt she was one of ex ATOS rude workers moved to capita ,one of the question was "can you dress and undress then my friend reply was my friend remind me to change cloth and promote me,But the assessor just replied said but your"HANDS ok both works"",in way that she has no problems with dressing she should have taking her mentalhealth,is that mean she will get 0 for dressing?even she has mental health problems need promoting?. whenever my friend reply to her question she tell her why cant you do that (in way she tried to tell my friend you lie about condition) the assessment lasted 20 minutes but in end we just knew she was going to fail her and my friend wil have to appel . unfortunately my friend is in very low mood at moment this made her worse, i feel she will not give her any points but i didnt tell that to her .any advice?thanks

Hi, 2 points can be awarded for having to be prompted to dress/undress yes, but you would need to prove this is the case. Did your friend take evidence of their condition with them to the assessment? Also it's the decision makers decision on whether to fail a person or not and not the assessment provider. The assessment provider is there to write a report out by asking any relevant questions. Your friend won't know if they've been refused until the decision makers makes a decision. If they're refused it then your friend will need to ask for a Mandatory Reconsideration. First just wait for the letter.
