OP i'm not sure if you mentioned or not but is this for a set period of time or a more set/permanent thing?

If its more permanent I'd look into leasing or a flat share. If its semi-permanent (ie going to last a while) then I'd speak to the hotel about bringing your own appliances - perhaps swapping out the normal microwave for multi function one (the one I have at home is a microwave, grill and convection oven) or about perhaps bringing a slow cooker or something along those lines.

I know you said you dont want to lug stuff back and forth but if you do it right, theres not that much to a weeks food as obviously you'd only freeze the parts you cant cook there. So spag bol you would just make the sauce at home and freeze it in portion sizes and do the spaghetti in the micro. Soup can be frozen in bags/containers also.

If you do end up doing portions to take with you, I'd make the same meal type for that week but each week make a bit extra and keep it frozen - so that in a few weeks time, I'd have different meals for the week while still only cooking 1 type of meal and only having 1 set of pots and pans to clean, it also saves time.

I actually do it at present, more because despite loving to cook from scratch, it can be quite time consuming and at least this way if I dont have time to cook as I've been called out to work or something unexpected comes up, we can have all the benefits of a homecooked meal with the convenience of a ready meal.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride
