get a small slow cooker- plugs into a sockets and could cook a meal for one day and store for later eg chicken curry( chicken spices onion peppers maybe raisins) , use micro rice to go with it Beef stew with dunplings, Pot roast chicken/beef with veg, leftovers can be turned to soup and zapped in microwave Spag bol is easy and uses up any leftovers Chicken/Chorizo casserole, chicken thighs parika spansih onion chorizo sausage peppers garlic peas
Prepare night before, store in fridge an put in slow cooker and switch on in morning before work Come home to delicious food smells
Again jacket spuds in microwave- could cook chilli to go with it0 -

Good Luck0 -
When I was away I found cheap places to eat locally.
Wetherspoon have some good value on club days and harvester do an allyou can eat breakfast.
It was not just about cheap eating it was soul destroying hanging out in a room.0 -
We've had no oven for over a year and I cook everything in the microwave.
I'm doing Slimming World and rarely if ever have ready meals. I make tuna pasta or carbonara, mince and potatoes is another favourite with carrots and peas (I use Quorn but you can easily cook normal mince in a micro), curries (I don't use meat again but you can add pretty much what you want) jacket potatoes with beans and tuna, salmon fillets with mixed veg... All done in the microwave. I've found you can cook pretty much anything in the micro if you put your mind to it. And I've lost 2.5 stone doing that as well

For economical reasons I very seldom use my oven /hob, instead my sc and mw are used almost daily. In the mw I cook a small chicken in a deep bowl covered with cling film, on a low setting for about 3/4 hour, also casseroles, curries, steak and chops (takes practice but I have it perfected now). I also steam veg in a shallow dish with a drop of water and again covered in cling film. It's best to buy microwavable cling film, it's okay to use the ordinary kitchen sort once in a while but not for every day use. Most of the above can also be done in a sc which you can turn on before going to work and come home to a hot meal. Rice pudding, sponge puddings, cakes and even biscuits can be made in the mw, if like me you like cooking you can experiment with no end of recipes.
Equipment I can't do without - a deep microwavable bowl, a couple of shallow ones (I use pasta bowls which can double as dinner plates), a mug for making cake, a browning plate for bacon, sausages, biscuits etc., a veg knife and carving knife, chopping board, a slotted spoon and oven gloves. Mw and sc dishes can get very hot! Have fun experimenting

I'd just get a toaster then eat toast everyday (much like when I lived on my own lol) but that might get boring for some people

Vote for M&S, the Fuller for Longer range especially, and I'm not sure if it's microwaveable but their ready meal tapas is amazing.0

Now there's an idea.....if you drive there, could you take a slow cooker with you? They cost peanuts and it's soooo wonderful to come home to a ready meal!

Do you mean you are away Mon-Thurs or just odd nights during a week? If it's odd nights, I'd go with preparing some meals, one pot ones are good, stews, tangines, chilli, bolognaise freezing them into portions and taking one with you.
Monday to Thursday sadly. As a comment has said, the problem with taking precooked meals is the weight and the space in luggage, I'm lugging a suitcase across London twice a week and already have knackered shoulders. I'd love to take a slow cooker (can just imagine the hotel cleaners face!) but not practical.0 -
