I posted this offer quickly last night without comment as I wanted you all to see it immediately I saw it. And bag it before it hit the newspapers this morning.

I thought there would be a naysayer popping up. So for info, Here is link to reviews of the champagne . Note the discounted price is not yet shown. I saw the price in the groceries section of tesco.

Pretty good I think. Convincing enough for me to think it will be welcome. And a discount from £12 to £8 is £4 off the price or a third off. I've seen enthusiasm for 25% off, so not a bad discount.

Prosecco can be great. But nothing beats the impact of opening and drinking champagne

Just for the sake of clarity, this champagne regularly sells for between £10 and £12, so although it is a deal at £8, it is not an amazing deal.

Also, this particular producer was set up to supply cheap champagne to the French market and it regularly sells for around 8 euros a bottle in France.

It's not quality stuff, I would think a decent Prosecco would be a better bet at this price.
