Woolworths = pick&mix and posters.... I'm also suprised that they now sell wardrobes, I would of been less surprised if you said they had sold you a dodgy pattern to knit your own.....they used to do patterns for everything.
Op did you ask the guy that was sent out how he came to the conclusion that you yourself are at fault.

I thought with it being in the first 6 months that it is up to Woolworths to prove that it isn't inherently faulty?
That's right, and it appears Woolworth have done that by sending out EcoMaster, an independent furniture repairer, who has reported that the damage is user inflicted.

If the OP wants to dispute that, as clearly she does, then she will need to obtain her own report that confirms the goods are inherently faulty.

If the OP were to go to court without a report backing up her point of view, she would surely lose the case as at the moment the only real evidence is a report stating that the problem is due to user damage.

If you have paid for the report, I assume u were sent a copy of the report. If it details how you were at fault, have a look and see if you can argue against this, what you disagree with. Then you might be able to decide if its worth paying the £125 for your own report.

Could you find a cabinet maker or someone similar who could tell you why the wardrobe is so defective? They might produce a cheaper report.., although I'm not sure whether this would be accepted in court. You'd have to check with the courts.

Remember that small claims are judged "on the balance of probabilities" and not "beyond all reasonable doubt".

    Some questions:

    1. Did you get a copy of the Eco Master report?
    2. If yes, what does it say? (HOW have they determined that this is user damage?)
    3. If no, demand that a copy is provided to you. (After all, YOU have paid for it. WW cannot charge you for their own investigation - it was THEIR choice to send out an engineer, not yours).
